Good Lord, what a difficult question to answer.
If it is Semi Auto, than it is my Sig Sauer 1911 Nitron .45 ACP. The trigger is set to 3lb 2oz and she shoots very tight groups. But, a close 2nd is my Springfield Armory XDm 10mm with a 5 inch barrel. Another really tight group shooting side arm.
If revolver, my Smith & Wesson 686 Performance in .45 ACP. A very smooth trigger and great sights.
Lever Action, aka, the original assault rifle, just depends on my mood. Henry Big Boy in .357 Magnum or my Marlin 1895 in 45-70 Government. The Henry is just plain smooth and you feel absolutely no recoil. Meanwhile, the Marlin will let you know it is there, but provide a lot of satisfaction when hitting a steel target that is 400 yards away. Especially when somebody with a MSR is missing that target while using red dot sights.
For bolt action, my Howa M1500 in .308. Accurate as hell and able to reach 1000 yards.
Semi Auto, I have to break it down into MSR and all others.
For sheer fun in the “other” category, my M1 Garand from 1944.
For the MSR, there are 2. One is a home built AR15 with a 24 inch stainless steel fluted bull barrel that is chambered in 223 Wylde. It is an absolute tack driver. Delivering 5 round groups that are sub MOA. For store bought, the Springfield Armory SAINT 5.56 (the first generation). Very light and nimble, but also accurate.
It all depends on my mood, but these are some very fine weapons.

I like them all too but I gotta say percussion revolvers, whether in cap and ball mode or cartridge converted, are my first gun love. I even have a reproduction of the 1858 .44 Starr DOUBLE action (called "self-cocking during that historical period). Yes! There were double action percussion revolvers in America (although the Brits seemed to have more of a penchant for them) and there IS a reproduction of one by Pietta. My little reproduction .31 Colt 1849 pocket revolver is fun too, especially when I convert it to .32 S&W Short metallic cartridges. Sorry guys, you shouldn’t have asked me if you didn’t want a rant!

I don’t “fun-shoot” anymore. When I go to the range, I’m either sighting in a new firearm, a new sighting system on an existing firearm, or practicing with one of the concealed carry options I use. These days, with the ammo shortage, almost all my concealed carry practice is dry fire, however.

You might consider using a pistol sock. Won’t damage the piece and keeps it isolated from everything else.

If the question is fun to shoot and or most satisfying it would be Ruger Mark IV 22 LR. Maybe because I haven’t been able to get a Kel Tec PMR 30. But till then the Mark IV is like shooting a laser gun. If you like hitting what you aim at and making a game hitting the very center of the 10 at 25 to 30 feet this is the gun that will do it. Till this mess started it was good for as long as you felt like shooting. I only wish they made it in a larger caliber as well. To me it is like a modern baby PO-8.

Going to stick to the topic of pistols, this is difficult, I enjoy all the pistols I own. My favorite would be my Colt 1911A1 .45ACP, grew up shooting .45ACP in revolvers mostly because we reloaded and it was easier to keep up with spent brass using revolvers and moon clips. My old boss suggested I learn strikers so I now own a Glock 17, 19, and a Taurus PT111, because at the time 9X19 was 13 cents a round. It took awhile to understand why I shot left and I must admit I cheated, working on both Glock trigger systems until I was happy with the pull. The 17 breaks at a little under 3 pounds now, and I must admit those .355 projectiles are amazingly accurate. Love my Magnums too, just like everyone else said the ammo shortage has slowed my shooting of everything. I value my primers now like gold and have only a few small pistol left.
Good to see we have so many new Members, Glad to have Everyone. I have been with USCCA for four years now and rarely have time to sit and write, as I come closer to retiring I have found way to manage my time better. Thanks to @Johnyq60 for the welcome a while back when we were talking to the young fellow about his loss. Stay Safe out there, and if you are in the South hope you stay dry, lot of rain this winter.

I have a 365XL, love it for on my person! But not my most accurate at the range, but will do the job. Kimber 1911 45 my fave for range, close second is my Sig 239. The 365 is my go to carry, due to size, but again, at the range it takes some practice to control that little sucker.

I just picked up a 365 SAS last week-ish and it is a little snappy, still getting used to the Bullseye sight. I put it on an XL frame just to see if the grip would be better.
