After 40 years as a programmer and system admin I am now retired and have plenty of time on my hands, especially during the Pandemic.
Around the time I turned 60 I realized that I could no longer run away from a fight, something I had done in the past. But peripheral neuropathy made my feet numb with the result that I tend to fall over. I use a cane. Can’t always feel the floor under my feet. I am coming up on my 6th anniversary as a concealed carrier.
I joined USCCA because I wanted additional training and do not feel safe venturing out in the world during the pandemic. USCCA level 1 was a snap. Have done range qualification before with organized classes.
I like metal handguns, mainly Kimber 1911 Pro and Ultra (subcompact in .45 ACP) as well as the CZ 75 line of 9mm.
I am married and live with my wife and her mom. We are very happy together in our Minnesota home.
I like to watch hickok45 videos on YouTube. Very interesting and informative. I would never have tried a pocket holster if he didn’t show me how.
