Hmmm. A cursory look at New York law does not show any indication that an article of clothing with the word gun on it is a crime. I will take your word on it. But I don’t see how that can be Constitutional. First Amendment and all that.
Give their Governor time……
Problem solved
This is how you know you did/said something right!
You mean the same state that just banned cryptocurrencies, until we can do an environmental study on them?
I may be confused. How would it be the same with or workout a 5 year mandatory add on? Wouldn’t it be a 5 year difference?
Your issue was someone involved in a self defense case. Having a mandatory sentence enhancement does nothing to influence the outcome. It only takes place after a decision on whether a self defence has been decided.
“Lexington and Concord were about gun confiscation. If you don’t like this country, you are free to leave!”
Nothing else needs to be said to these people.
That’s what I’m saying, after the outcome, +5 years because the person who believed they were defending themselves used a gun while committing a crime. No pleading that down or getting a relatively minor offense for say defensive display that is prosecuted as assault/brandishing, whatever…5+ years mandatory.
I don’t think we understand each other, or I am failing to describe it accurately.
But that’s cool .
I just want to see any legislation, of whatever type that may occur, that is aimed at the criminals who are committing the crimes, rather than laws that are aimed solely at law abiding citizens. Especially, laws that seek to disarm the populace.
Biden’s main agenda is to DO AWAY WITH ALL FIREARMS FROM THE HANDS OF ALL CITIZENS.
It’s kind of sad how many Americans don’t know what happened at Lexington and Concord.
Which son of Mary Palmer runs the Palmer Report?
People will talk all about taxation and representation and “the British are coming”…but bottom line…the army (their army) was coming to seize their arms and munition and that was the last straw that sparked open conflict
Because it has nothing to do with gun control and everything to do with the government controlling this Country!!!
Control the guns, control the people. We’ve already seen how effective that is. Plenty of times. One costing ~6 million lives…
Wasn’t that the corner in Miami, where the FBI got into that big gunfight with the bank robber’s back in the 70’s?
Slow your roll, just a bit of trolling. Sorry it was to tempting to pass up.
I’m old enough that Civics was a mandatory class. Plus I am a member of the Appleseed Project (most popular and most frequent lecture) is a minute by minute breakdown of what happened in Concorde and Lexington.
Unfortunately what is often taught or remembered today is that Lexington and Concord were about “the British” (as if it was a foreign entity) doing something involving taxes and and stamps…not really put forth that it was their supposedly-own army coming to confiscate arms and munition and the locals were like, not so fast
