Powerball is at $171m today. We will use that as a starting point. By my calculations based on VA tax at 4%, Fed Tax at 37%, a reasonable charitable contribution and eliminating all my families’ debt, someone will pocket a lump sum of $68m. If you received that amount:
I’d prepare to leave NY the moment my daughter graduates from high school.
I’d like to go where it’s warm so I can ride my e-bike almost daily!
I’d volunteer at a pet rescue
I’d give my business to my employees if they want it, LOL.
I’d buy at least 1 exotic car.
Travel the world with my wife.
I’m moving to Kentucky. Constitutional carry state, can legally own automatic weapons, fairly conservative. I’d buy a hay farm, and cater to the race horse crowd and dairy farmers. That actually answered 2 and 3.
I would establish my permanent residence in a place where reciprocity would allow me to carry as widely as possible. I would likely have multiple homes.
I would continue to teach what I teach today. I would expand the topics I teach into firearms, concealed carry, etc.
I would do my best to leave a legacy that reflects my faith, my commitment to my family, and support causes I believe in. I would plan to silently give much of my wealth away (Matt 6:3).
I’d live in a state that values the 2nd amendment, why? Because without it, all other amendments would die.
I’d spend my days putting money into GOA and
FPC. Going to rallies and even buy a large plot of land to hold rallies for us who value the constitution.
I’d leave the legacy that I stood for the rights of EVERY American citizen.
Odds are 282,000,000:1. I’m no mathematical genius but with a couple of bucks it is cheap entertainment. Vanguard has a few investment funds that are solid performers. Live off the interest…
Pay off the farm, fix the fences the way I want, buy up the adjacent property that is for sale, and then buy out my one set of crazy neighbors
Upgrade the bunker, add a house on-property for the granddaughter, upgrade the lights on my truck, and upgrade my tractor.
I’m working off-site a lot, but I’d probably cut way back on that once my current gig is complete.
Work with my favorite FFL in getting their range built.
Spend more time with my family.
