So…that is a lot of generalities. What exactly are you referring to?

I’m about as patriotic as they come and I don’t want to lose the country I served and love but there’s not a thing being done to stop this…Tim

I got nothing… good.
I’m only glad my father isnt alive to see this.

Referring to our president that I have been backing for many years has turned into a coward and is letting America be taken over by terrorist… he talks a good game but when it hit the fan he won’t do squat… I love my country and served it proudly and will till I die but this makes me sick…Tim

I’m not sure what he can do. That would make it ‘better’. Trump didn’t take non-lethal methods of crowd control away from the police, invite ‘the summer of love’, or direct localities in their voting to disband or defund the police, and there is such a thing as States rights.

We have devolved to the point where

  • rioting in the streets
  • anarchists commandeering land and buildings
  • rather we even need police
  • and leaders of the left actually come on TV and boldly say ‘give us what we want or we’ll burn the system down’

are all now partisan issues and are actually being debated on national television.
Think about the lunacy of that!!!

I wonder what Trump means when he says ‘there will be retribution, there has to be’

@Timothy3 as president there is very little Trump can do about the ongoing violence as he is Federal and all the police powers reside with the state and local municipalities. He cannot take the National Guard from say Ohio and deploy it to Washington UNLESS Washington asks for it. He can write an executive order to protect Federal land marks and he has done so. Unless he is willing and I counsel against it, to employ the insurrection act he cannot deploy federal troops to a US State. IMHO this is the biggest demonstration of failure of these blue states and I dare say he will use that to good effect against them and his presidential opponent. The Constitution as it was written is still the law of the land and he is abiding by it which in truth is all we can ask of a President, like the situation or not.

Cheers,

I certainly understand your position. I would have loved to watch the military roll through CH## and put those people who should have their citizenship revoked in their place. BUT, it is my understanding that Trump does not have the power constitutionally to go in and do that without a formal call for assistance from the state. Because the attempt to create a second autonomous zone in DC, BHAZ, was on federal property, not state property, Trump was able to take the required steps to squash the attempt right then and there. If I am wrong, please point me to the resource that says trump has that power. Until then, I will place the blame for CH## directly on the heads of the inept democrat leadership of Seattle and Washington state. They let it happen and they did not call for help to deal with the situation when it got out of hand. We all know CH## never should have happened. It should have been dealt with as Trump dealt with BHAZ. So, while it is an abomination, and I certainly understand your feelings, cause I share them. But I suggest laying the blame where it belongs. I am sure there is a point where Trump can step in, but I don’t know where that is, I do see a clear difference in how he handled BHAZ which leads me to believe that if he could have done the same in CH##, he would have. One thing I have been impressed with is how Trump has not overstepped his role, even when the situation would have allowed it and other Republicans would have. As distasteful as CH## is, I would rather have a president that stays within the constitution vs using a crisis to seize even more power and lay the blame on the people who deserve it.

Your prob. Right I’m just upset over what I am seeing and these communist politicians are applauding them for terrorizing everything

I feel the same way @Timothy3. But this is happening in states and cities that are not stopping it, actually encouraging it. I don’t want the federal government to be able to take over cities and states that easily.

I am very shocked at how they have allowed looting, rioting, and all with very few arrests. I have my own tin foil hat theory. Just look into the Chinese Communist revolution in 1966… :alien:

Understandable. Trump does no do himself any favors sometimes because the media certainly won’t cover it fairly, even Fox. Instead of threatening to send in troops to quell the rebellion, he should have been on the news every night saying that he has the troops ready to go and that he is begging the governor and mayor to ask for assistance so that he can come in and do the right thing.

Coming after the guns ‘next’ has already started.
If we dont need/have police how will community counselors be able to do their jobs if they are threatened by citizens with guns.

The larger question is when does AMERICA push back against this band of thugs? When do we push back against the vaunted halls of academia who are now almost completely run by 1960’s and 70’s hippies that are filling our children’s heads with mush. I went to college when I was in my mid/late 40’s and got two degrees. In both efforts I went head to head with some of my instructors/professors who were literally espousing the views we are seeing on the streets and I took them to task for it. As I graduated with honors both times I beat their a$$ with FACTS that could not be dis-proven. I’m not sure any 18 - 23 y/o would have the balls to tell a professor you are wrong and here is why and then debate them in a public forum point for point. The reason is that our education system from K-12 is infested with the same liberal mindset. When my children were in school I went head to head with every history teacher from 4th grade to 12th grade, the last 4 years were private school and I had a whole lot more leverage. As you might guess I have serious issue with the halls of academia and more precisely the teachers unions. Unions IMHO have out lived their usefulness and have now become a burden because we have all the laws on the books that the Unions were formed to enact. Feel free to flame away, I can take it and enjoy a spirited debate. OBTW, I love me some teachers just not who they work for and the mandates that they are handed.

Cheers,

A lot of what you say sounds logical, but the streets tell a more scary version of who has what power. The socialists seem to be wielding their powers violently and that’s called terrorism. I do expect that if the elections are rigged by the terrorists and won by the puppet, we’ll be eating dog.
