I carry a ruger security 9 with a 17 round mag with hollow tips and sometimes a 45 acp with Hollow tips. Also have a carbine 45acp and a ar15 that shoots 223 and 556. And a ammo bag full of ammo and clips. I was born and raised in Alaska. I think I carry a gun more than a cell phone..also 300mag, 308 G6, 30-06 but those usually don’t go everywhere I go..lol …

I carry when not working and driving a 9mm and outdoors (like hiking or similar) usually a 45LC.

Sir Thank you for your service Sir . I have Down sized!! I just carry my two General. Buck . 1.20’s an . My two usmc kabar fighting Blades . And my .s&w m&p 2.0 with one 23. Round mag in it and just two 23 round spare . & my necklace Blade .!!! I can move around much Better now that I Down sized Love Bobby Jean and Debbie Ann Twofeathers here’s ya a Root Beer

I also carry 9mm based on the mountain of research that’s been done, there’s a reason the Feds like FBI and other agencies have also made that decision (at a huge cost btw, and while they are not shy or above wasting money, when it comes issued equipment it’s typically backed up heavily with evidence).
I selected my primary carry balancing capacity and size (compatibility); I’m not a large guy and rather slim which makes it harder to carry and avoid obvious bulges. I went the Springfield Hellcat Pro, which has been absolutely flawless and enables 17+1. I’m rapidly approaching 10k rounds through it and have had 0 failures, which is very reassuring for a tool I expect to be there when needed and compounded with the fact that I’ll have plenty of ammo when/if that time comes. I also have the mag wing on my holster (Safariland Incogx) that’s an additional 17, and also keep a spare in the Car and 2 mags in my backpack.

By the Law I can carry 15… and to be honest, it’s enough for me.

I carry a .45,9mm,.380 and on the end of it all .38. With good shot placement all are effective albeit some more than others. Some said way earlier anything we carry is way better what we leave at home. Carry on Carry smart yall
