I have a few baby eagle .40 and S&W .40 also a desert eagle mk19 44mag & 50ae , I do have a 9mm I carry for fun when plinking with the kids getting two old to fire the 50 many times but I still practice with it.
Good question. Living in Florida heat and humidity is a consideration. I carry different calibers and pistols depending on the weather, location, and how long I will be out of the home.

.45ACP, .44spl/mag for EDC. I have .357mag and 9mm for revolver/pistol classes where there’s going to be a high volume of fire, the ammunition is cheaper and there’s less fatigue from recoil.
