They walk among us - And keep coming back

Again, not too far from my house. My problem here is, he’s been arrested for this before and get’s let out to do it again.

Appears he is preying on the weak and elderly. Too bad that when he was on top of the old man somebody carrying wasn’t around to put a few holes in him. Would it be reasonable to think old man unable to defend himself with a guy sitting on him needed some airing out?

Edit: while sitting on the old man he delivered 10 punches to the old man’s head. I would think the guy beating the old man needed some holes in him. Anyone else?

With a record like his why hasn’t he spent any serious time behind bars? This guy is obviously just going to keep beating up and robbing defenseless victims until someone gets killed and they finally lock him up for good.

Bring back public hangings or at least televise them.

There are people on this site and others that I know that would welcome a scum bag like this. Imagine his surprise when he get’s knocked on his a$$ and kicked in the face…

Part of being old is the realization that if you are attacked, you will have to defend yourself on the ground. Shooting at targets at the range is a different experience than drawing and firing from the ground. Training, especially of older people, should take this into account.

My last couple martial arts classes have been focused on ground work. I’m finding that it is not very easy to gain enough space and time for a draw with a determined opponent on top of you.

The only thing SLC is missing is a subway system

That’s the problem with these big cities, LEO arrest these dirtbags and the pantywaist judge slaps them on the wrist and turns them back out on the steet. SF,SLC,CHIRAQ,NYC,it doesn’t matter they’re all the same.

You can’t have a voting Liberal base if you lock them up!

They vote from the grave, why wouldn’t they vote from jail?

So the real criminal is our broken judicial system and these spineless District Attorneys and judges for allowing the scumbags to be released to victimize again. These criminals are NOT getting the message to change behavior. At this point, i would support digging a pit and applying “Three Strikes and You’re Out”.

DAs and judges are, in many cases, elected officials. So the real problem is the electorate.

Reply to remove the number from the bottom of my page and constantly clicking it.

They still take an oath of office which is to protect the citizens. By releasing the scumbags and giving them a plea bargain, they fail their duty. They know exactly what happens when a repeat offender appears who has multiple arrests and a criminal record file thicken than the Holy Bible. It is a daily occurrence in our society. A repeat offender was out on the street to victimize again. We need to hold those officials as accessories and remove them from office. I agree with your statement regarding the electorate, which is obvious throughout todays government.

And if the people keep re-electing DAs who fail to prosecute and judges who fail to sentence, then we get what we deserve.

If America is destroyed, it’ll be no one’s fault but our own.

At 86 with two bad knees I certainly fall in the “mature” category. I have no intention of going mano a mano with some younger, stronger, faster individual. I stay alert whenever I am out and about. I carry the Ka-Bar cane which is heavy duty aluminum. I carry pepper spray and I carry a couple other devices which can inflict significant hurt on a miscreant. I practice striking with my cane. I practice getting my pepper spray and other devices into action but the last thing I want to do is practice rolling around on the ground. Even with gently lowering myself to the ground, getting back up is a major chore. Of necessity, I have to be extra alert. The county jail is about two miles from my house. The sheriff releases inmates as close to one minute after midnight as he can. If they serve one minute, it constitutes a day served. Thus the inmates only serve one or two minutes on the last day of their sentence. If they don’t have really good friends or family to pick them up at the jail after midnight, they don’t have any transportation away from the jail. Certainly Uber is not going to make midnight runs to the jail. The buses quit running hours before midnight. Nobody is going to pick up someone hitchhiking after midnight adjacent to the jail, so they are stuck to walking — hey this is SoCal. Nobody walks. Or, hanging around with nothing to do until the buses start running. Hanging around with nothing to do hmmm. My Grandmother used to say “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” She hit the nail on the head. I just finished making the rounds of the doors and windows before I sat down to post this We keep our doors locked at all times and use extra security devices at night. Those of you who are still hale and hearty may look forward to skirmishing on the ground but not I.

I used to think we should bring back stocks, for public shaming.
The problem is that in large cities, the population is too large for public shaming. When there are a million people in your city, how would you possibly remember some random dude in the stocks that you passed on your way to work?
Plus, with today’s culture, folks would just be taking selfies like it was a cool thing.

I do think public shaming would be a good punishment, if there was an effective way to do it.

One of the many things I dislike about cities is the anonymity of being lost and unnoticed among the masses often leads some people to believe they can get away with a lot of crap they likely wouldn’t want to be seen doing if they thought their family, friends or neighbors were watching.

The shaming would occur as the rope noose is placed ocer their head and knowing they are about to be hung. That POS in NYC had over 40 arrest before Mr. Penny intervened. Why is the being allowed by these corrupt DAs and judges? Insanity! The criminal justice system failed Mr. Penny. I am personally sick of this revolving door for criminals. I am way beyond putting them in stocks.
