It’s my understanding that he suffered from mental instability. So it’s not only a failure of the judicial system, but yet another sad example of our complete inability to manage mental illness. We used to have dedicated homes, villages, hospitals, and even prisons for the mentally ill, depending on the level of care needed. Those are gone. Now, those in power simply toss them back to the streets and pat themselves on the back for being so compassionate.

She is definitely not an adult, and there is no age requirment to get a credit card. when my daughter began driving, I added her as an authorized user on one of my credit cards.
She made two bad decisions, the SSN was the worst, but I can’t tell you how many companies, banks, health insurance, etc., have sent my wife and me letters about information breaches that in some cases included our SSNs. So one ignorant mistake is not even a drip in the ocean of personal data floating around the internet.
