I don’t know anything about cartel execution practices but seems to me they wouldn’t want to draw extra attention to themselves by making a lot of noise across the street before starting the process.

I thought that @John292 was implying this was some sort of organized execution by the one of the cartels. That just didn’t make sense to me.
Think it’s much more likely he blew a fuse in his sick head. Drugs or alcohol possibly being a contributing factor. If he does happen to have cartel ties I suspect his coworkers would not be too happy with the negative attention this brings them. In which case the body with a note at the boarder is a very possible solution. Though tying it up won’t be necessary since they likely wouldn’t leave him alive to share any cartel info he might know.

The perp in the current case seems to easily move across borders, possesses the support structure to vanish from the law, and apparently has a military style rifle, which incidentally is a type favored by cartel gunmen.

Those people have already been camping and trespassing on his land for years .

Not exactly in the best shape for a firefight but the thought of sitting back in my comfy chair

The thought of bringing some good old fashioned ‘American Mean’ to the table again is starting
to gain a foothold in my mind. I can’t see waiting for somebody else to step up and fight for our country.
Is this a stupid idea? Probably, I still need to have a clearer plan and more stuff. I was always a good planner, I don’t just go off halfcocked, especially when it is this wild. I just wish I didn’t have that accident.
I am at a disadvantage physically and with an untested vehicle. I have enough money for this but I keep thinking “What am I forgetting?” I have MRE’s, a stove, bedroll, tac clothes, armor, helmet but if anyone can make a suggestion I am all ears. I won’t leave until I know my home is really secure. My Brother came in from NY to make sure my family is safe but HE wants to go too!. I just wish I had my old team back, I’d love to say" We’re getting the band back together" one more time. But they are all gone.
This is all I can think about. People are scared. I hate that! People, US, Americans, INNOCENTS are getting hurt, I HATE that ever more!
Where is the Military? Where is their sense of honor? Duty? Patriotism? Why is an old fart like me the last line of defense? Have we raised generations of P—ies ? What good is maybe 3500 NG’s and border patrol against a hoard of killers?. We could just carpet bomb them into oblivion. And if the World response cries about it Patriots of old would just say “Shut the f— up!” They are NOT seeking 'Asylum" they are INVADING!. Why else would they be here? HUH? Did all of a sudden a Million guy’s say : We don’t like Nicaragua, Honduras, Medellin , etc and we want a better life in estados unidos? I don’t think so. Right before a fight I always saw the big picture, The fog cleared, the fear was swept away, and I SAW IT! I SAW IT! My hands steadied , my mind calmed and I prepared. loading mags, that crisp ‘clack’ of each round loading into it! The sound of my knife on my stone. Know what I mean? It’s THERE! It’s back!

We are all at a disadvantage, we are normal! We think rationally. I’m pretty sure I’m still male, my wife, thank goodness is still female, my cat is still a cat. All is good until the bullets start flying. I would join you down there but physically, not 30 anymore, I’m going to set up my gear on the dining room table and fire at will!
Honor, duty and patriotism will be in my cold dead hands along with a crap load of hot brass!
