I have never started a new
I have never started a new topic but have tried to many times and think I just messed this one up but what I wanted to say is I have a S&W revolver and it’s very nice, it’s new old stock from 1984 and my son found it for me because he’s in some club that can get guns for theirselves only or family I guess but I have wanted one of those S&W M&P 9 mm’s and I think they even make one that is easier to charge than normal, and there’s a bunch of different ones to I think. Any opinions?
A “new” S&W revolver from 1984 would be real treasure!
Enjoy it!
@John292 , It’s in … mag but that’s what I told him to find and I paid a grip for that thing close to $500
It’s a little snub nose for carrying and concealing, it’s all black and if you have it pointing at you it looks like a .38 because it’s counterbored
Congrats on your S&W revolver.
Regarding M&P 9mm - good choice of polymer handgun. You won’t be disappointed. Just remember, if you decide to buy one, be sure it’s model version M2.0 with new solid trigger. (old trigger was hinged in the middle).
The one that is easier to rack is M&P Shield EZ or Equalizer. If you decide to go with Shield EZ, go with Performance Center version - it has better designed grip safety.
WTF happened…it’s .22 mag not ….mag lol!
@Jerzees , thanks for that info, I’ve always liked those and don’t know how I always passed them up, I think my son always said “ you don’t want one of those things they are made in Croatia” or somewhere
XD Mod 3?
I didn’t know that Hellcat was also made in Croatia…
He musta been talking about Springfield I knew about them and I think but am not sure that the only thing Springfield makes over here is the M-14 or that’s what I call them but I guess it’s a M1A. My memory is about shot anymore but I honestly think it’s more like I don’t really listen well enuf lol, a lot of stuff goes in one ear and out the other and bits and pieces stay in there lol. But not to get off course to much anyway I still want one of the M& Ps but believe it or not those Chicom made M-14s are nice, the first batch had issues but the ones now are very good and people in Canada can get them for like $ 500! I saw this on you tube and a guy was shooting the crap outta one of them
M&P & XD that’s my tiny little mind lol . I had my head examined and they found nothing , said I was stupid so I said “ I want a second opinion” and he said “ OK you’re fat and ugly too”.
But one Dr. did find a problem, he said my problem was that there’s a small particle of brain lodged inside my skull but once removed I should be just fine!
Naa, the Smith and Wessons are all made in the US. There are big differences between the different M&P pistols. The standard M&P’s are striker fired. The M&P 9 2.0 is a very well regarded duty pistol and has a good reputation for reliability.
Like @Jerzees said, the EZ and Equalizer lines are the ones that are easier to charge. They are hammer fired, have a grip safety and an optional thumb safety. They get good reviews, and the ones I’ve fired (I own one) are good shooting guns, with minimal recoil and good triggers. The only complaints I hear of them are, for some people, the grip safety doesn’t fit their hands well. The one I have was given to me by my wife, who did have that problem with it. For me, it fits my hand perfectly and I’ve never even been aware of it as I’m shooting.

Congrats on the new (to you) piece.
I have a M&P9 2.0 full size and I LOVE IT! Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect!
Sounds great guys gonna have to get one of them like the EZ job sounds good to me, if I ever need a handgun when the fat hits the fire my G-19 with one of my 30 or 31 (. Never actually figured that out really) round mags for it and I’ve also got a 40 round aftermarket job as well but nothing will toss some lead like a G-anything! But it’s a bit to big for me to conceal. That little Glock 42 .380 I have is a sweet little pocket or holstered thing to, it’s very nice.
Are the hammers exposed on the EZ’s and the equalizer?
Nope, they’re under the slide.
Cool I can take it either way , I’m letting my son carry my CSX Smith he likes it to carry, it’s got the hammer exposed and it’s a nice piece he’ll I forgot about it but I gave it to him and I could get it back but since he’s been carrying it I won’t, I have such a hard time concealing any thing other than a small KelTec in .380 . But I like a safety on a carry gun or all guns really I grew up with safety’s on guns
