Got an email from Smith & Wesson this morning teasing a new product release streaming live Monday night. Anyone heard what this may be?

Iāve been waiting for this for a month. TFB teased it a month ago. I was really excited, but I thought itād be announced already so I donāt care anymore

What I would love to see would be a larger shield that competes with the 365, hellcat and 43x. If they used the lower of the Shield 45, I think they could easily do this (shield 45 lower is thicker than the 9, and itās great).
I have a feeling itās going to be something no one asked for though
Iād laugh if it was a .22lr M&P model.

Thatās a bad recallā¦ another reason to wait a year or two before buying a new release

I think that stuff happens when you over complicate a gun. The EZ has too many features. I understand itās audience, but most of those features are designed to attract newbies who get comfort from visible safety features.
The original shield was already proven. Most people with good technique and practice could run one easy. I know there are exceptions, 
I picked up an EZ for the first time today and hated it (and I love Shields).

My guess, which isnāt worth anything, is something like you said @Scoutbob to compete with the 365, hellcat, etc. That would be a nice addition.

I really hope it is.
I know many people will disagree, but I hope they make a contender for the 43x over the 365. I really like the size weight and feel of the 43X. Itās the only gun missing in the M&P line up imho.
The P365 series (including the XL) is just too small for me. I have medium size hands, but I like fuller grip. The Shield 9 is too thin for my liking. I LOVE the shield 45 grip, but I want it in 9. The 43x, which I thought was lame at first, is actually a really good size. I just wish M&P made one.
I just read an article that said smith is announcing a new ābranding unveilā. Wonder what that means? Iām not really interested in branching off from the M&P line.
Wouldnāt be surprised if the new line was created to compete directly with the sig 365 line.
That would make them a big competitor with Glocks with the 2.0s and huge competitor with the sigs. We will see!

A 13+1 shield with same barrel length as original shield. Bet itās a shield upper with a bigger lower. Maybe this is the 43X shield! Iām intrigued to say the least.
