Actually, plenty of people besides the president does the exact same thing. Be it other politicians who try to boot the 2A to the curb or judges who rule against it. I agree those actions go against their oath of office. About the only recourse we have is to try to vote them out of office before they do too much damage.
Hand on heart, I took an oath to defend the constitution and pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
I did this at my swearing-in ceremony, tears running down my face.
I finally became an American citizen by following the laws of this nation, and I plan on being an upstanding citizen, loyal to this country.
You can imagine my sadness in seeing the party in charge completely disregarding the Constitution that I swore to defend.

Where I live, in the south, we have a fantastic Governor defending normalcy, logic and the law, yet is vilified each time mentioned by the ‘national leaders’ or the ‘free press’.
There is an effort by the elite class (again) to suppress law enforcement in a way unimaginable until recently. Many, many northerners are moving to my state, apparently to ‘escape’ those oppressive states-maybe Historic Maryland and Beautiful Virginia- and I wonder if now they will be successful, because the federal government is not respecting any state governments that don’t agree or tolerate the trashing of their state sovereignty.
Federal control of ALL things important to accomplish that objective is being attempted, in real time, now. The last time this happened, the outcome was the most deadly, horrible years of our republic. More soldiers were killed in that time than all the other wars America has ever been involved in, combined.
I pray it doesn’t happen again, but it sure seems some in power want it to happen, or simply don’t care about the outcome, and are forcing the issues in the wrong direction.
Remember… the law enforcement agencies are agents of the state and will do exactly what the states says to do-- regardless of legality.

I watched the video of George Orwell. I have studied this subject for years. More people need to open their eyes and ears and learn just what is happening to our world. This video, though short covers just about every subject that should be of importance to the American people. If you would take time and write down every point that Mr. Orwell presented in this video then look at each one of them, think about what is happening now, people would see just how right this man was. As you read each of his points, think about “is this happening no.” If it is scratch that point off. When you get through I bet you will not have one of Mr. Orwell’s points left. Wake up America. I thank you for writing and I understand by lay -persons knowledge of what is going on. I understand about Maryland and Virginia, both states I have lived and work in ( Both Wife and I ), put Washington DC in the pie as well.
I know the HISTORY and I love our Country and I know that 650K lost their life in that War of the States. I
sincerely do NOT wish for that to happen to any of our states or us. I was raised to respect, help, and love people, not the hellish problems everyone faces. You can even go back to 1776-1787. for many
more problems too. I love HISTORY a lot, but we must learn from all of it.

How can we have a government if no one agrees with anyone. Look up the old folk song by a group called the Lime Lighters. I don’t remember the title, but the first line is “they are rioting in Africa” (Google it). It says a lot.

You have not made me angry in any way, we are here for free discussion of ideas, and you’ve said nothing wrong I can see.
Probably most here, like yourself (and I), were raised to love and respect and help others whenever we could. I remain a thankful and humble servant, a sinner as any other, not in arrogance, but deference. That is also known as ‘The Christian Way’ we know is under constant attack today, and has been for the two thousand years since Christ walked the earth. He suffered the ultimate insult in evil persecution, for me. This doesn’t mean we don’t respect other faiths, because we do - America was founded by many Christians seeking freedom from persecution - by other Christians…and still today there’s no shortage of pain and suffering. But, some groups distinguish themselves thinking they’ve cornered the market on pain and suffering when they’ve not a clue, none even of their own ancestor’s struggle, nor do they appreciate the gifts provided by ALL our ancestors who knew real struggle in comparison to mine, maybe yours. There’s definitely a profit motive and protected classes factor largely in today’s America.
When I mention other states, I don’t mean to disparage anyone other than the those who divide us seeking power and wealth, there are plenty, as there always have been. I was trying to show my concern for those seeking a better life leaving one state and seeking another, which today is a logical quest, (we see expanding and dangerous effort similarly at our southern border, now a major humanitarian failure not seen in my lifetime) of many seeking this better life. Don’t we all?
Today’s problems are larger in that we (Americans) have never been considered ourselves ‘interstate’ refugees to this degree.
Years ago, relatively wealthy northerner’s who worked the traditionally industrial jobs more likely there (the North beat the South, largely due to this great wealth and the fight was less so about slavery) would maybe find retirement in the southern climate with lower taxes and cost-of-living, possibly expecting to enjoy playing more golf, enjoying year-round sun, not shoveling snow, walk the beaches or whatever. Now, maybe they seek refuge from the beginnings of the latest rising tide of tyranny, and I’m not so sure they can find relief here: as the federal government again seeks to ignore the slippery slope that follows as they attempt to negate the states, and their rights, where tyrants are still opposed.
My hopes and prayers are that my children, yours, and all Americans do not suffer this again, ever. Too much blood has already been spilled, and treasure spent, to get us where we already are. America has tried to show the world how freedom works - when we were able, or it was in our interest to persevere. (When I need inspiration it doesn’t always have to come from the Bible, for me at least: read Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg address again…though not particularly a devout Christian, he had moral understanding of history and his formative role took a heavy toll - or, watch ‘The Passion of the Christ’: supreme filmmaking that helps explain at least my perspective better than I’m able…) I believe there is no more generous people than here.
We need to learn from this time, but I fear not enough of us will, and each side fancies themselves as the ‘enlightened ones.’

This administration is not calling any shots. It’s back to the normal global world economic forum and UN calling all these shots like they have been for the past 80+ years minus the years that DJT and RFK took control. They’ve done damage to our republic but haven’t come close to destroying it. In fact, this is as close as they’ll ever get to taking it. I see it everyday, everywhere. People are getting back to family and God more then I’ve ever seen in my short lifetime. These are the foundation of a free, self governing republic. You can’t arm an immoral people. An immoral people can’t have free speech. We need morals to justify our inalienable rights. The only way to defeat globalists is getting out of public schools and re-establishing the nuclear family and good morals. The nuclear family and God are the number one enemy to an entity that would like to consider themselves Gods. Our country is too strong. The
