I carry the FN 510.
It might seem inconvenient to some. I’m 6’4" and have large hands. Accuracy is most important to me.
I use a leather lined kydex IWB when I’m going for deep concealment. A leather OWB detective holster for long shirts or sport coats and a paddle holster when I ride motorcycles.
The paddle holster has retention and fits the waist and of my chaps. Mygun becomes open carry, when riding but, is covered by my vest or jacket, when standing.
Accuracy, stopping power and Critical Duty for the right penetration.
I can wear a Hawaiian shirt and nothing prints for IWB or OWB.
Go with what works best for you. What you can consistently shoot well. I usually shoot 3k-5k rounds per year.

I’m partial to Berettas. I specifically like the single/double action. The newer ones have decockers and the older ones have half cock. Safety is smooth on every one Ive had. You never have to carry cocked and locked.
I have near zero worry of ever having an accidental discharge. The extra safety measures do not have any downsides that I can think of, and each step has to be intentional to trigger the next. Due to the safety, and that long trigger pull. Feels like I get the best of revolver with the trigger action, hammer, as well as the best of a semi-auto with magazines and a safety.
You can get thinner grips too, their handguns tend to be a little wide from what I’ve seen. Probably heavy, but I carry weight around all day every day so I forget I got it on me. My current favorite is the 84BB. I was carrying the 30x Tomcat. It only runs 73gr S&B ammo reliably that Ive found so far. Too hard of ammo to find to practice consistently. The tipup barrel is really nice too. Good gun for whan arthritis is acting up. I don’t care about accessories so I don’t know if Berettas are great hosts for that.
If I break my current one, it’s out of production and parts are scarce, I’ll upgrade to the 80x. I’ve heard good things about that one. Probly get a light on it if I feel fancy.
I prefer smaller calibers mostly because I’m not wanting to blow a hole through someone, and little Timmy in the house next door. With 2, 13 round mags for the 84BB I would hope, with practice, it would be sufficient stopping power. I got the 92fs as well cause 9mm ammo is half the price of .380. the 92fs is a honkin thing though. I carry sometimes, but it’s not easy to conceal.
I am a little bad though, I have mine in a vinyl revolver holster so it hangs lower on my belt. My belt is 100% of the retention but it’s extremely concealed, yet easy to get to. Paired with some under the shirt suspenders that clip onto my belt (clasps suck, don’t do clasps) it’s an extremely comfortable setup that I feel confident it’s safe as well.
