Things are getting weirder and weirder.

Man found dead at Colorado amusement park was armed with guns, explosives: police (msn.com)

The man was found dressed in black-colored tactical clothing, bearing patches and emblems that gave the appearance of someone with law enforcement. He was heavily armed with a semi-automatic rifle, semi-automatic handgun and multiple loaded magazines. He was also wearing body armor and a ballistic helmet, according to the sheriff’s office.

The man, who investigators believe died by suicide, also had multiple improvised explosive devices with him and inside his vehicle.

LOL heavily armed
Sounds like a range outing.

Yeah, like the police don’t wear that. I kinda recall the 2A does not ban that.

Of course he did. :sunglasses:

A lot of the sick active murderers out there seem to have the ultimate goal of dying after gaining their 15 minutes of fame. If this guy was one of those wanna be sickos then maybe he realized what none of the other ones did. That if they feel they absolutely must take someone’s life then they should start with themselves first.

In a warped sort of way that would sorta make him a hero since he stopped a mass murderer and saved the lives of a bunch of innocent people.

I’d like to know if Card was a National Guardsman or in the Army Reserve. I’ve heard reference to both in the media, but it’s got to one or the other.
I’d expect there are more petroleum specialists in the AR, less in the NG.

Out the gate there was only one end to this situation, and it happened. Plain and simple, case closed. No more headlines or agendas or political pushes necessary. Close ranks and continue to march.

The guy at the amusement park was probably a mental midget. Only figured out it was closed once he got there. Gotta kill somebody might as well be myself!

Maine Sheriff’s Deputy Calls Police ‘Utter Clowns’ Over Handling of Mass Shooting in Deleted Facebook Post (msn.com)

Maine Sheriff’s Deputy Calls Police ‘Utter Clowns’ Over Handling of Mass Shooting in Deleted Facebook Post

A Maine sheriff’s deputy who reportedly responded to the active shooting in Lewiston accused state police officers of withholding information from local authorities, while another officer alleged they waited 12 hours to track mass shooter Robert Card’s vehicle in a harsh criticism of law enforcement.

Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Deputy Jon Guay accused state police of mishandling communication with local law enforcement during the intensive two-day manhunt for the 40-year-old gunman who killed 18 people and injured 13 others in a mass shooting at a bowling alley and bar in southwest Maine Wednesday.

In a since-deleted Facebook post, Guay called the “upper echelons” of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit and Command Staff “utter clowns” who he “wouldn’t hire to manage the morning rush at Dunkin’ Donuts.”

Another anonymous local law enforcement official, meanwhile, said MSP stood by for 12 hours before they began probing Card’s car for evidence and using it for tracking purposes, according to the Portland Press Herald.

“My understanding is that they did not approach the car till the next morning,” the officer said, per the paper. “There was no dog put on the trail until the next morning, as well.”

“‘Radio Silence’ is the best phrase to describe the amount of information the Maine State Police shared with the hundreds of law enforcement officers who responded to assist with this manhunt,” he reportedly wrote, according to the paper.

Local and federal law enforcement were “left idle as Maine State Police ‘assumed command’” and failed to provide “any sense of direction or initiative with this investigation. Any substantial lead or investigatory discovery was held close to the vest and the only way the rest of us found out was from leaks within,” wrote Guay.

He also hinted that his fellow law enforcement officers felt similarly about the situation.

What if it was by design?

They wanted to make sure the gunman switched back into his government issued jacket first

Armed man found dead at Colorado theme park reclusive but ‘not dangerous,’ brother says (msn.com)

Armed man found dead at Colorado theme park reclusive but ‘not dangerous,’ brother says

The heavily armed man who killed himself rather than potentially carry out a mass shooting at a Colorado amusement park was a reclusive gamer obsessed with “Call of Duty” but not “dangerous,” according to his older brother.

David Barajas Medina, 27, told NBC News that he did not believe his 20-year-old brother, David Barajas Medina, meant to harm anyone.

Diego has been identified by the authorities as the man whose body was found in a women’s bathroom at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park Saturday next to a cryptic message scrawled on the wall that read: “I am not a killer, I just wanted to get into the caves.”

He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Garfield County Coroner Robert Glassmire said.

“I didn’t think he was a dangerous person,” David said. “I’m not sure what he was setting out to do.”

The two brothers and their mother all shared a two-bedroom apartment in Carbondale, Colorado, where the younger Barajas Medina would stay up every night playing video games, his brother said.

Have heard that at the bowling alley after Cards first mag he had a jam, and it took him approximately 40 seconds to clear it why didn’t someone take his ass out then (if that was actually the case)

“Many of America’s new home schooled children have entered a world where no government official will ever check on what, or how well, they are being taught” the Post noted."

Given the indoctrination occurring in the government approved public school system, as well as the ongoing failure to achieve proficiency in math, reading, etc, it appears that the Post believes that lack of government approved checks are a bad thing.

The brothers are 20 and 27, living with their mom in a 2 bedroom apartment. Sad.

I have to agree with that comment as well. Ive been saying for 3 3/4 years now that the Dems are highering these mass shooters to try and get everyone on their side to have the 2nd amendment abolished and gun confiscation to occur.

Definitely the way it sounds to me too,and when they go to get there payment bam bam another shooter commits suicide kinda makes sense and no one to say different
