Make America Safe Again!

The Governor of Massachusetts has shut down all the gun shops. Gov Baker feels that they are not an essential business. However all the package stores are open???

Glad to have you here @Tina3. It leaves me shaking my head in confusion that some will place the availability of alcoholic drinks above a freedom listed in the Bill of Rights? The priorities are seriously misplacedā€¦so many people just donā€™t have a firm grasp on the OBVIOUS.

The governor of Michigan did the same, however the only stores that actually closed have 1) run out of stock, 2) have high risk employees or 3) have a lot of high risk clients.
A little civil disobedience is a good thing, it reminds our government that they only govern because we allow it. Hopefully our protest the other day sends the same message. Unfortunately the media and unsavory leftwing politicians are already working to discredit the whole thing.

The government can only shut them down if the gun store owners shut down (i.e., give in to tyranny). Time for rebellion. The best way to limit government at this time is for business owners to open their doors en masse.

They tried prohibition once. It did not go well!
They have often been successful infringing on 2A.

My parents live up there. I got out in '04 and wish I left in '85 when I wanted to. I canā€™t believe that anyone lives up there. Terrible weather. Terrible government. Terrible traffic.

@Tina3 It is WE THE PEOPLE that will ā€œMake America Safe Againā€.
The politicians do not care and Law Enforcement doesā€™t have a duty to protect or can be told to stand down by said politicians.
We are on our own together in the end. :+1:

Itā€™s a shame, that anything I say now will have me renditioned to a black site and tortured. If we donā€™t put up a united front now, we are on our own.
WE THE PEOPLE, is beginning to sound like a 200 year old fantasy. So hereā€™s to Covid-19 and unconstitutionality.

We the doomed, of a once sovereign nation, in order to form a more perfect union, leave you to stew in your own crap, establish injustice, insure civil unrest, promote the destitution and secure the blessings of slavery, to yourselves and future generations, do ordain and establish this disease for what used to be the United States of America.

Think thatā€™s weirdā€¦ They deemed ABC stores ā€œESSENTIALā€ here in NC. :joy:
:point_right:t5: Not quite sure why but I was told this was done to ward off moonshine consumption. How ridiculous is that? :v:t5:

Not as ridiculous as it sounds. The first issue we would have to deal with if alcohol were prohibited is all the alcoholics going to hospitals as they went into withdraw. The 18th Amendment was passed prohibiting alcohol. Criminal activity exploded with prohibition both openly and in the dark.
It was repealed in 1933 by the 21st Amendment.

I canā€™t imagine what a 2A prohibition would look like, Iā€™m thinking John Wick x 5,000,000.
Maybe this is mother natureā€™s way of saying, revolt. Sounds like new employment opportunities opening up. Whatā€™s minimum wage for a gun runner?

You know Mike that is a good point. In all seriousness, my grandfather was
a successful bootlegger during prohibition. Made crazy money and did not
keep one dime of it. Thought it would never endā€¦ Then it did, perhaps the
encroachment of the 2A will have the same endingā€¦

Same scare tactics are being used in Commie-fornia thanks to Socialist Gavin Newscum.

Some governors say non-essential to gun saleā€¦
The ATF says drive through sales are ok as long as they are on the property where the FFL appliesā€¦
You canā€™t help but go hmmmmmmā€¦

MA same thing. A number of shops have taken down their ā€˜openā€™ signs, put a notice on the front door saying something about ā€˜closed per governors orderā€™, etcā€¦ butā€¦ Perfectly reasonable civil disobedience against a ridiculous ordinance. Now the outdoor ranges are harder to conceal operation unfortunately. I hope challenges in the works to these closures are successful and the ranges can re-open, even if much else remains closed. They even closed hiking trails here FFS, like, ā€œyouā€™re gonna get COVID from the trees!!!ā€ Dumbness all around. Knee-jerk reactions fueled by ignorance and misinformation, guided by political agenda. Well, at least some things remain the same!

I own multiple gun and believe an most the people on this site out say one of them dumb liberals or one of them leftwing hazbins that wants to repeal gunsā€¦ not all Democrats even ones in office are not against using or owning a gun. So people please stop using politics as a defense or a part for an argument all that has ever been proposed with even them looking at has to do with gun control not gun retrievalā€¦ just saying what the hell does a normal u.s. citizen need with a fully automatic assult rifle.

I see that you have paid no attention to the reason that the right to keep and bear arms was even protected.
