I’m almost finished with it. I’m trying to decide what I want to do with the scratches (not the worst)
where the slide catch/take down pin wasn’t locked back in correctly.
I may just leave it alone.

It’s pretty nice especially considering what I have in it so far. It’s ready to carry now if I don’t want to take it any further. Really sweet trigger and reset.

Thank you @George98. I may put a part or two on it like an extended slide release etc.

@Johnnyq60 thank you buddy.
The thumb safety is easy enough to pull off, but the spring tension makes it just a little stiffer to switch back on. I started to address this issue, but I’m now thinking this may be good. No accidentally bumping it on safe.
What do you think? It’s not stiff enough going to safe to cause me to shift my gun or grip position.

Very nice! I’m a Canik fan after purchasing a TP9SFx. Picked up a TP9DA to go with it. What do you think of the SF? Never owned a Taurus, how does it shoot?

I’m a Canik fan as well with both TP9 SF and SFx. Both shoot great, and great triggers. The SF is my night stand. Looking to add a DA one of these days.

I was looking at the SC for cc until the Shield Plus came out and then went with that.

It is orchid colored, and I love how it looks.

@Richard306 all the TP9 variants are fine shooters right out of the box.

OK, here’s the site I use: https://www.canikusa.com/
There’s also one via Century arms, I believe. Canik primarily imports handguns, all in the TP9 series. They break down into roughly 4 main categories, with a wee bit of overlap.
METE series
TP9SFT - Full size, full ambi, lots of nifty features new for this line.
TP9SFX - A full ambi version of their competition weapon, lots of new features also.
Competition
TP9SFX - entry-level competition weapon. Big, light, fast fast fast and very, very very accurate. Note that all the Canik TP9 weapons are known for awesome triggers and very accurate shooting, but this one excells.
Combat/Elite series
Several weapons in this group, a couple have upgrades by Salient Arms.
Base TP9
There are a number of handguns here as well.
TP9DA is double/single action w/decocker.
TP9SA MOD.2 has a decocker (SA=single action only, MOD.2 is the second revision of this weapon) as well, but it kills the trigger and the slide will need to be racked prior to firing. The only other models I know the meaning of are the SC - these are the more compact ones.
There’s only 13 models, currently. You might find older ones on the used market, but if you go that route, do your due diligence and look the model up on Google so you know what you’re getting.

Putting my old Kimber Custom Stainless II on standby, switching to this RIA military grade for EDC (new at $469–yaaay!). It shoots pretty dang straight, but I’ve only got 50-60 rounds through it so far. Seems to prefer 185gr to 230, and my Hornady Critical Duty SD ammo. Still, def shoots straight enough there’s no worries
