Let's see your new gun!

Who here has gotten a new gun recently? I traded a couple beater guns in for this new Tikka T1X .22 LR. It just became available in the USA. I shot it today, and had fun, it’s super accurate. 20190403_151926

This is my most recent acquisition, a SIG P320 X Five with the Romeo 1 red dot optic. I also installed a Grayguns trigger and sear kit in it. 20190320_173654

Both of you are slacking. Life is too short not to buy another before the barrel on the one you just shot cools off.

It’s a neat little gun. I told my wife what all I was gonna get. Her response? Can I shoot the AR? Lol

Here is a toy that I’ve always wanted. It’s a 9" 50 Cal round ball black powder cannon. And I got it to fire on special occasions like July 4th and New Years Eve and maybe on my anniversary. Which this year will be 33 years. But so far I haven’t set it off yet. I had to get a ram rod. And this year I’m going to set it off on July 4th for the first time. And i’m going to ask some of my neighbors if they want to watch.

That’s awesome, @Reloader54! Can someone take some video for us?

I’d love to see it on the Community!

I’ll try to do it. I have friends on other groups that have asked the same. So I’ll try to do it. And post.

OMGosh we totally had one like that when I was a kid!! It was brass and my dad used to load it up and shoot it over the pond at the park on the fourth!! I’d totally forgotten!
My mother hated that thing… and all guns… but I was fascinated

Here are some photos of my “new to me” Swiss G11 straight-pull bolt action rifle. The serial number shows it was made in 1918. It also came with a “troop tag” behind the buttplate. On one side is the rifle’s serial number, and on the other is the personal info of the soldier that the rifle was initially issued to. His name was Wilhelm Hagist, he was issued the rifle in 1920, and he lived in the Swiss city of Basel.
