All my inlaws are die hard Republicans. My guns would find a new home without being destroyed.
I’ve read his verbal abusing to so many others who did not deserve it. I don’t like bullying and he has done that proactively too often.
So, that’s basically it.
You know Ron, It’s not bad to have a few Hobbies! Rock on Sir!

Ha, Ha, Ha, That’s funny. You had better thicken your skin if you’re going to stay here and you think I’m abusive. Wait till the trolls find you. ![]()
Edit-The Baaaaaa was meant for the fact if you give your guns up you will be defenseless.
Yep, I am just an odd guy who envisions things that others already failed miserably at.
There were still a whole lot of government regulations in the way. Trump removed a couple of them. Aside from some quick initial market reactions it does take quite some time for policy changes to have long standing impacts.
But regardless of when the temporary boosts occur, cutting taxes and massively increasing deficit spending into the $2 Trillion/per year range still leads to inflation and bankruptcy just as quickly if not more so than increasing taxes while massively increasing deficit spending.
The math just doesn’t work out when you keep spending way beyond what you take in. Especially when you keep doing it for every year but one or two for the past 25 or so years. The inflation from the 2008 to now money printing spree was just slow in coming because the vast majority of the money went to the big banks and big corporations sending the stock market way beyond its typical cost to earnings ratios. It took a long time for all that Monopoly money to trickle down into the general economy.
And Obama said a 4% GDP was impossible. He was happy with a stagnant economy that smothered Americans. Trump knew we could do better and proved it. !.6? GDP to 3.6 in short order under Trump. Those couple of deregulations and tax cuts got our economy rolling again and proved the naysayers as just that. It also had another effect. It improved consumer confidence and gave everyone hope that what was happening for years was not just the way it is.
It took a businessman and not a politician. They had gotten us to where we were and I’ll be damned another politician put us right back there!
That is the truth from a day to day working stiff for 45 years. I watched many come and go and they were all the same. 2016 changed it for me.
TRUMP PERIOD.
You just can’t do it, can you? And then you wonder why. ![]()
No more sympathy. ![]()
You were paying attention!
Seems pretty extreme for me. I have to ask, which other Constitutional Rights are you willing to give up for a single vote in a single election cycle?
Hi Joseph575.
Refreshing to see different views, healthy debate. It’s all good. Curious, why the upside-down flag and not one like this?
Just pessimistic about the next few months, that’s all.
Welcome to my world for the last 4 years.
I hear you. Troubling/turbulent times. When I can get out and about, I try to be friendly, sure can use more these days. Peace.
Ditto that and for good reason.
All I can say is why don’t you try applying the Modern Monetary Theory that the Republicans and the Democrats have been operating under for the past couple of decades to your own budget and see how long you can go before having to declare bankruptcy. You might have a fun year or two running up your credit cards but sooner or later (almost certainly sooner) the party is going to be over and all you will have left is a huge hangover and a massive pile of bills.
The U.S is almost $35 Trillion in debt and rapidly counting. Trump and his fellow Republicans helped run that number up almost $8 Trillion in just four years! Biden is at about $7 Trillion and counting and will probably just pass Trump’s record deficit spending spree rate by the end of this year.
And none of this counts all the future unfunded Government spending that has been passed by both parties. That number is well over $200 Trillion now! We are royally screwed no matter which one of these old men sits in the White House.
Yep on Obama. He also told business owners they had not built what they had. He told Americans our manufacturing was gone forever. He told us, effectively, to give up hope. WTF kind of a “leader” does that?? Didn’t he campaign on “hope?”
I would also rank him as the only truly racist president I’ve seen first hand, and he did more to cause race tensions in this country than any before, in my lifetime.
I stil get mad thinking of how badly he set us back.
I apologize for not being able to sing along with everyone else in this echo chamber. Facts can be really annoying when they don’t align with the prevailing confirmation biases.
Pandemic.
Depression.
If you haven’t seen cornpop the racist, you aint black.
