… actually sewing buttons on my shirts that are missing them. Locating and throwing away socks with holes in them. Going through all my mail, even the bulk stuff that I generally throw away. Cleaning the top of my baseboards with a soft toothbrush. Seriously.
And you? (Real things you are doing… not made up, so be honest here).
Replaying old video games I enjoyed. I literally have been putting off cleaning the drains in our house , so I did that today. Going to see if I can get my riding lawnmower going again. Lots of cleaning. Cleaning up training on my Husky that I had been letting slide.scrubbing the crown molding and baseboards.
Actually checking things off the Honey to do list. As well as spending a bit of money that I normally would save for to fill in some holes in the home defense tools. Amazingly enough there are some good deals to be had if it is not loaded ammo or cartridge components. AR-47 mags from C-Products (stainless steel) for $16.88 EA and some other bits that were way over priced are now an option like a FFP 1 - 6X scope for less than $200!!! I tried one for hunting season since I was down an optic, crap they are decent optics. This coming from a scope monger. Monstrum on Amazon, get the Gen 3, not a bad bit of glass.
I’m jumping between my TV and computer. Maybe 4 hr per day doing my network jobs remotely. Rest time - Netfix.
Today, together with my wife, I planted about 50 daffodils in front of my house… anything to make the day less boring.
Throwing up pairs of Nancys socks after she did laundry and catching them with my grabber(you know the thing with the trigger and the shaft and the grabbers).
I wasn’t very good at catching socks but then I thought about using it on Nancy, you know…
chasing down the hall and into the kitchen, you know we have to keep in shape during this forced idleness.
I was about to do this last week too, but then I thought “What if we’re going to be in this situation for a lot longer and somehow I ended up with not a lot left???” So I decided that I’ll purge after we’re back to some more normalcy.
I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I visited a one of my local shops. It’s a smaller shop with excellent service. I was just looking for ammo to bring my stock to normal levels and thought I’d take a shot at it. They were fully stocked in .380, 9mm, and .45. I picked up a few hundred rounds (that was all I needed).
…hitting refresh on my favorite gun sites to see if my next “need” is in stock…constantly hitting refresh…
…doing yardwork
…finally getting to honey-do list items
…run out of things to watch on every streaming platform …well after 2 more episodes of Ozark
…spending way too much money online
I am bored out of my mind. SO - I found a bass amp cabinet I had been looking at, and I save $250 on it. A MarkBass cab with 2 fifteen inch speakers and a horn. I can make some noise now. Dawn you will hear it in Wisconsin. BTW - it gets here Thursday !!!
