What to do when you all home all the time

With this current situation of close downs I find my self with extra time, so I use it to reload all the different ammo that I do, after all I have pick up a lot of spent shells that others just leave so i have a big job of inspecting them to see if they are worthy to reload. If they are then they are separated by calibers then the process begins. One other thing to help with the time issue this is a great time to inspect you guns and give them a very good cleaning and lubricant where needed, and check your carrying rig. Stay alert and don’t get hurt.

I work from home so I actually have less free time now than before all this started. This weekend is the first of the “free time” for me. Probably spending too much time thinking about what I may have missed or not thought about in prep’ing for this shelter in place order. Enjoying the meme’s

We play this! Carcassonne, it’s fun for virtually all ages, guaranteed!

My weapons have never been this clean. Every coil on every spring is clean, every piece of brass has a mirror like finish. Just wish I could hit the range and dirty everything up again. That, and binging on post-apocalyptic movies!

Catching up on honey do’s. Inventorying supplies, medical gear, ammo etc.

Spending time with my wife. Working on retraining one of my dogs.

Talking to friends.

Practicing what if drills with wife, retraining on all our fire arms on how to use.

Replaying old favorite Xbox games. Binge watching some series.

Kind of a preview of retirement with wife and if this is what it’s going to be like I am going to enjoy it.

Chop wood and caress my firearms, but not at the same time.

We’ve done all we can do the last week as far as cleaning, etc…and now I’m the only one going into work at all, which is mainly to deliver meals to students who need it. Haven’t left the house all weekend. I feel like I have become one with the cast and crew of NCIS Los Angeles…my wife is happy I finally gave in and watched it.

Well just made it back from CoronaVegas 2020 trip. Work is busier than usual, and still trying to catch up. Overall I don’t see much changing, yet, here for me. I WFH already, I walk the dogs. Maybe start my spring full dress down house cleaning a bit early. Get ready for camping season?

Well, I sorted and reorganized all the ammo… farm tasks… shoot some… clean the guns… going to reorg my big medical kit… some honey-dos… start the incubator (geese, ducks, chickens)… add another dog kennel… build a chicken house… worm the horses… dog vaccines… cat vaccines… if our sheep shearer can’t come, may be doing that ourselves… need to get some loads of gravel in if we can and fix the driveway and the parking area.

Oh, right, I’m still working. Well we’ll see how much of that I can actually get done.

LOL. Can’t wait to see the baby boom at the end of the year and into next. This ought to help our lagging population.

I’ve finished a few lingering projects and have a few more after they install our last 4 windows this week. When it’s nice, I’ve been riding after work and I’ve done over 100 miles in a week. Funny how everyone is home and I still do ALL of the cooking…

I try and take a cool pic every time I ride. This is the NY Inebriate Asylum in Binghamton, NY. It also housed some crazy people. I was lucky enough to have a tour of it while it was still in operation. It’s to bad the state closed it and let it rot.

That’s a Rad Rover e-bike.

Today will be building out another apiary area for 2 more bee boxes and nuks we have to pick up on Friday. They need a gravel pad so fire ants don’t invade them and hog panel around the area so hogs don’t bust the boxes up and eat the honey.

Got to get a load, 2 yards, of garden soil in the dump trailer for a new section of garden.

This sounds a little paranoid, but build out the first of a good handful of OP/LP stations for OP/SEC just in case zombies come to take my toys.

Oh, and of course polish some brass and use my new powder cop on the reloading station.
