12 Gauge - last time I fired one of those, I think I was 13. I weighed like 80lbs dripping wet. I was out hunting with my dad, and he let me fire his shotgun (I had my own 20 gauge - pump action). I didn’t know there were 2 triggers, and pulled both at the same time. I thought I broke my shoulder (and yes, I was holding it properly against my shoulder) - man did that thing have a double kick!!

I only became a gun owner in 2013, have bought and sold a few, and only own 11 right now. If AAG Harmeet Dhillon beats Bonta and eliminates the “handgun roster,” I might be motivated to buy and get more weird looks from my daughter.

FWIW, For EDC, I standardized on a caliber (9mm). Still own .22, .357, but I don’t carry those, just have fun with them. Sprinkled around the homestead and on my person are all 9’s. Total count: Unknown, but it is double digit.

My wife has asked me that same question. I try to keep within a few calibers. Currently, that is .22 cal, 9mm, .45 ACP, .30 cal, and 5.56 and 20 GA. Some of these were ones I grew up with, and when Dad passed, they came to me. Ammo is just too expensive to have one firearm of each. This gives me defence, hunting, and sport shooting capabilities. But if given the opportunity, I would grow my collection. I don’t know how many is too much, but I would like to see what that is someday!

I see that many of you have mentioned your spouse in the thread of “how many is enough”. Next time your spouse brings up the question about the number of guns you own, flip the switch and ask “her” how many pairs of shoes is enough. Go to the closet and start counting.
Guns are like tools in the sense that sometimes you need a Philips screwdriver and other times you need a Slot or Torx screwdriver. A gun can have a need and your wouldn’t take a deer river to a duck hunt. You wouldn’t take a duck shotgun to an elk hunt. For those of you that are avid golfers, how many different drivers or putters do you own. Guns, golf clubs, shoes - the answer as do how many is enough will leave you with “it depends”.

My wife really has no idea how many’s inside the safe. She only know what I bring to the range when we go shooting. The only brand new she’s aware of is the LCP I bought for her.

I recently purchased this 40 cal. This is the 3rd Hi-Point I’ve purchased this month. I have the 10mm and 45 ACP. Regardless of the scrutiny that Hi Point receives these firearms are great. Now I do not use for personal carry. They’re too bulky. These are strictly for target practice or home defense.

Well,… by the time you’ve spent the same amount of money on HiPoints as you’re gonna spend on that DE,…. That’s gotta be at least 6 HiPoints…. Definitely bulkier! 
We all love to rag on them, but we will concede they’re good guns especially for their price!

I’ve made this case before. Comparing the two, DE Vs Hi Point. For anyone interested in buying or shooting a DE I recommend that they get comfortable with a Hi Point. Though I would not consider either for a personal carry. They are great for target and recreational shooting.
