Personally as a retired Army Infantry NCO, I believe that having more than you can carry is too many. I have a pistol and a rifle for each adult and my 16 year old grandson in my household. Plus enough ammo for each weapon which consists of a. 22LR revolver, .22LR rifle, 20ga pump shotgun, .243 bolt action, AR15 and 3 1911. 45ACPs. All with numerous mags. I don’t believe that any weapon that can be used against me should be left behind. Also, the more you have to carry the slower you can move.

I think y’all have to clarify what the definition of ‘MANY’ is… Hey works for the enemy to question everything.
For me personally? I don’t carry a heck of a lot anymore (right now too damn hot!) , Summer is a Firearm and one extra mag (in a combo holster) no knives, nun-chucks, Pepper Spray, LAWS rockets or portable Flame Throwers–that has to wait until Fall!

I’m at the point at age 67 where I feel I may almost have too many …16" AR15’s. There’s 5, the DD my son left, the DD/aero combo with IR and suppressor which is in my bedside cabinet(helmet/nods on top of cabinet/body armor bedside), and 3 other builds, various optics. There’s also the 11.5, 14.5, 10" .300bo, 18" and 20". I find AR’s are like Glocks in that they’re simple, reliable and kind of like potato chips. Maybe enough Glocks/Glock based builds as well, 43,26,19.3,19.4,17.3, 17/19 combo, and a 21.3.
In the not “too much” category, mini14 and an M1a Scout, my “fear no evil” gun, M9 and 2 1911’s for the classics, a few bolt guns in .22/5.56/.308win/.300wm, a couple of which are considered precision guns and are great for focus and on good days, getting in the zone.
In the “wish I’d found out about the platform earlier” and my last purchase is the Stribog. If I was younger I’d see myself getting an mp5 and a Scorpion, 'cuz man o man, the PCC/subgun platform is a hoot.
Got a few others, laminate stock meant a Marlin 60ss coming home with me years back, and a m&p 2.0 45c was too good a deal to pass up, sr22 for the wife, which didn’t happen lol, so it’s an occasional cheap date on my outings. Mossberg 500 with an ATI stock, fun quick handling gun. An AK my son used for training during Covid when 5.56 got $$$.
Thing is, there’s so much variety I could have double the guns and it still wouldn’t be too much. I have no revolvers, no lever guns, no semi auto shotguns, no high powered single shot pistols etc…
Down to 52 cans of ammo, starting to get nervous

PSA: ‘PLEASE consult your local Law Enforcement before you do any NUN-Chuckin’ that may be acceptable in the Vatican but there could literally be Hell to pay if done here in the States!
(and for the entertainment portion of this Topic lets see if any Fuzzy Little Heads explode because I brought up the Vatican?)
