You sound like me and my wife. Coming up on 19 years married, there won’t be a divorce. Pistols at 10 paces is more likely. I saw your avatar picture, and it makes me giggle. I hear Beuford T. Justice saying “when I get home, I’m gonna punch yo mama in da mouth!”

MikeBKY you’ve got it, and Bulldog sounds like you’re gonna git it if you don’t watch your step. Ruth Anne used to always tell me with a sly grin, “You gotta sleep some time big boy.”
That always made me feel warm and fuzzy.
She really did say that. Lots. We’ve had a great time.
We watched Smokey and the Bandit for the umteenth time when Bandit said what he did for a living was show off. She said that was you. You used to show off. I miss your showing off.
Poor deluded girl loved me. I can’t figure out why.

It was done in a couple hours or less by a street artist using pastels. Quite a lady.

I’m blessed. My wife had never shot before we started dating but fell in love instantly. The first time she actually saw my gun, she said “I want to shoot one!” I took her to the range that weekend and she was hooked. The only problem I have now is she has the “Signess” and I have this terrible thing called a Glock that I love that she refuses to recognize 
. But seriously she’s awesome and loves them all and it’s been excellent for us to be able to shoot and train together.

I enjoyed training with my wife too. She worked hard at it. I learned a few lessons and made some improvements. She had a hard subject to work with.
Oh, you mean shooting? Never mind.
You should have seen me when she first brought me home from the pound lol.

Wow, good question. My wife does not care for guns, but she know I love and respect them. For many years I was an Armed Security Officer so she was OK with that. She knew I was very safe with my guns, even with our 2 daughters in the house. I guess she just trusts me. Now I am retired and CCW & she is still sorta OK with that. We really do not talk about it much.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am not a religious person, but I get it. I wanted you to know that you reached me. It was moving, your long post. I have been with my fiance Michele for 21 years. She is my everything, my reason for being. Life would be meaningless without her. She has never swayed. She is my rock. Always been right there, when all others doubted. She calls me “Baby Angel”. I am her guardian angel, it’s my purpose and I will always be, right there. She cannot own a firearm, and doesn’t need to. I will always be ready! Thank you for sharing, and my deepest sympathies.

Thank you @Jeffrey. I’m not a religious person either. “Religion” is part of what’s wrong with so many church groups. But I know in whom I put my trust.

Take her to a range where she can handle the XD’s and XDM compact and sub compact models and the XDS series and you’ll probably be able to get her hooked.
Then get her to a good USCCA CC and Home defense course and she’ll almost certainly be hooked if you have a decent instructor.
