Hegseth Disclosed Secret War Plans in a Group Chat

Right, whoever invited this guy should be removed from government, two things happened. They intentionally invited the guy, or they have been communicating with him so much his name came up in their auto complete. Either case says they are not fit for Government and working on their next book like every person who has ever worked under Trump. Reality is, if you were not rich before you worked under the Trump administration, you will be writing books after it and the books all report the same exact thing, which nobody reads because reading is for eggheads.

The Atlantic released the messages today claiming since the Admin says that nothing in the messages was classified that it’s ok for the American Public to see it.

You guys are bending over backward to make this seem like the journalists fault. All stories are that he was added to the thread by mistake - not phishing or anything else. The real story and the real problem is that cabinet officials were using unsanctioned and unsecure text messaging app to discuss classified military plans. So right now, the UK, EU countries, Isreal and all of our other friends are cutting off sharing intel with the U.S. immediately until these idiots are removed from their positions. And whose to say that Russia and China don’t have a backdoor into the Signal messages? When the only qualification for the job is fealty to Trump, you get a bunch of unqualified ass-clowns and youshouldn’t be surprised that this is turning into a circus.

Everyone know the place to keep highly classified intel is in cardboard boxes in the Mar-a-lago bathrooms.

I definitely do not think the problem is the journalist. And I do believe that this Administration gambled on their response to the situation hoping that the American Public believes their position. Will have to see how things play out today after everyone and their mother gets inundated with news of what was in the messages. Going to be a lot of armchair quarterbacking going on today.

When I said “you guys”, I meant those guys. They know who they are. You’re kinda new here - welcome. I’m the pain in the ass on this site that tries to keep people honest. Contrary to what most think of me here, I’m a lifelong republican, but I don’t buy into the MAGA lies. Both Republicans and Democrats lie and do shitty things, but Trump takes it to a whole new level. Most people here that claim to love the constitution don’t realize we are sliding very quickly into fascism.

Ok, this reminds of the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax. I am not convinced that it even happened. What makes more sense? That Pete Hegseth would invite a journalist from the Atlantic magazine, you know the nut jobs that want Socialism for all, to be witness to sensitive war plans? Or that just maybe this could be the Democrats new plan for trying to get rid of Pete Hegseth? It reminds me of the January 6th Committee when they found out from the ‘honorable’ Adam Schiff that he found a ‘whistleblower’ that had ‘solid’ evidence against President Trump. :us_outlying_islands: :latin_cross:

That’s because it’s the same journalist that pushed that hoax, among a slew of others.

I feel bad for the folks who are against Making America Great Again. We’re going to do it with or without you, that’s just the way its going to be, so buckle up buttercups!

:joy: And there are lots of Chinese moles in country who identify as Americans!

Hell, we have men who identify as women, but that doesn’t make them women!

We even have “furries” that identify as animals!

No, the problem is not the journalist. The problem is that the journalist was copied on the invite, from a National Security Advisor’s phone, when the Advisor has said he doesn’t even know the journalist. HOW did the journalist number (Especially THIS anti-Trump journalist) get on the phone? WHO put the number on the National Security Advisors’ phone? I sure as hell don’t believe in coincidences, especially in the political realm. This was a setup.

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised.

At the end of the day, the mission was a success and our Service men/women were unscathed.

Was a mistake made? Certainly. The appropriate remedies will be carried out and we will continue to fight on.

Speaking of our war fighters
I find it quite ironic that the democrats, including those on this site, are calling for resignations and/or terminations. This was a successful mission. No American lives lost, no equipment damaged, destroyed or left for the taking. Seems to me there were a fair few brave soldiers lost during the Biden administration. My memory is good, the same outrage though???

Hmm, maybe the brain injuries I’ve suffered are taking a greater toll that I realized.

That would be saying not identifying. In actuality it would be the opposite, legally they would be American if their doing their job right but they would identify with China if they were a mole.

I doubt it was a “setup” if it was they would have chosen to leak a chat that had way more conteversy not talking about a strike.

Add to that, that the conversation was “sensitive” but NOT “classified”. Invitees were told to “Go higher” for more information that WAS classified.

And yeah, where was the righteous indignation from the left for the Afghanistan screwup when people did die, unnecessarily, and where was the worry about national security for years of a sitting president’s OBVIOUS COGNITIVE DECLINE? Where was the concern for national security when we found that biden family family members were receiving monies and jewels from Russia and China?

those are 2 very diffrent things but both are very weird.

Breaking News Update

Not unlike Trump.

Whoever put the journalists’ number on the National Security Advisors’ phone couldn’t know when it would be inadvertantly used, but the planted number COULD be used to embarrass the administration in the future, if an argument could be made by the left that there was internal strife going on in the administration, and they could direct the turmoil as originating from the National Security Advisor. An investigation would ensue, and the number could be used as evidence that Waltz was sympathetic to the left, and possibly leaking info.
