Something about a National Security Advisor sending an invite on military operations to the editor of a liberal rag like The Atlantic smells like more than simple incompetence, but then, I question stuff that looks like a duck and walks like a duck if it’s called an elephant.

According to the Journalist who had a front row seat information was shared on the app 2 hours before the attack was launched. Supposedly it included:
At 11:44 a.m. on March 15, Mr. Hegseth posted the “operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing,” Mr. Goldberg wrote. “The information contained in them, if they had been read by an adversary of the United States, could conceivably have been used to harm American military and intelligence personnel, particularly in the broader Middle East.”

I wonder if the Journalist did the patriotic thing, and reported it to the group, so they could scrub the mission based on operational security, or did he just run with the story.

New York Times did not publish the contents of the discussion, just that there was a security breach, which is also being reported by every major news organization at this point. The Reporter who was included in these discussions worked for the Atlantic.

Which is why using Signal is just mind blowing. They may as well have just been using a private Discord channel. If they would have followed protocol this would have never happened. Cutting corners to make things easier is perfectly fine when dealing with a government agency like The John F Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts. They can use whatever crap they want to send secret messages, but when it comes to our National Defense, operate by the book.

I highly doubt Vance, Hegseth and Rubio are part of a deep state, this by far is the dumbest thing they could have done but i dont believe they were doing it to hide from Trump or the Government. I believe they were being lazy and went the easy route. Hopefully the White House takes this breach seriously and makes sure nothing like it ever happens again.
