Goodbye, it's been real!

FYI. I have decided to leave the USCCA and wanted to leave a quick note saying goodbye. It’s been almost 10 years and I’ve truly enjoyed interacting and learning much from everyone active on this forum. I wish you all a Happy New Year and hope it will be a prosperous one for you! Take care, be smart, and stay safe!

Bjorn… please reconsider. You do NOT have to be a USCCA member to take part in this forum.

Good point! For some reason, I had it in my head that you did but that’s right…you don’t. If my login here stays active once my membership expires, then I may just stick around. Thanks!

It will stay valid, no reason to leave

Your login to USCCA stays that same, you just won’t have an access to their paid services.

Happy 2025… and I hope we can say the same here in 2026 :v:

Just so yah know, I have not been able to be a member for a few years now. I would if I could but, thankfully I have been able to be here and communicate with y’all. Hopefully giving a good 2 cents worth.

Nothing is better than being around somewhat like-minded people and seeing that others get your humor. As you can see, others appreciate your two cents worth as well as I.

Why are you dropping USCCA

Yes. After realizing I don’t have to be a member to use the forum, I will stick around. I do enjoy interacting with ya’ll on here and learning.

Well. I dispise insurance in general but specifically, I’ve lost confidence in Delta Defense to actually cover a possible event. The likelihood of me being involved in one is pretty darn low.

I worry about that too

Hope you consider sticking around Bjorn. I think I gain from many, including those who just happen to not be purchasing the insurance part.

I wish none of us ever needed insurances, car, homeowners, life, health, longterm care. I guess it’s a way for non rich folks to be able to afford services when we have an emergency.

One way I look at it is I’d have a focused expert attorney as opposed to the court assigning me just a generalist public defender.

For the group, instead of dropping coverage, first compare other plans to ascertain if they cover more of what you want. For me, I try to think of lethal force as being a last resort measure, thus preventative - I hope; In that way, if I ever need to use, I’m confident USCCA (Delta) would cover me.

So I can afford the insurance, I cut out and down other areas in my yearly and monthly budgets.

You’ve been pretty cool Bjorn, hope to read more of your posts in the near future; You are always welcomed here - this is your community as well, no matter what.

I’m not a member. I get the USCCA magazine, but use another company’s “insurance” product. Glad you’re sticking around.

This is the only social media that I use with any degree of regularity.

I’ve leaned a lot from the guys and gals on this forum and appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this.

The chance any of us will actually need the coverage is small, but it sure gives me peace of mind, considering I carry everywhere I go. I see myself as being at increased risk of using a firearm for self defense simply BECAUSE it is always available. (If I wasn’t carrying, a firearm I wouldn’t buy the protection.) For me, it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Ask the folks in Califlame-ya if they are glad they have fire insurance coverage, knowing they put themselves in an increased risk situation simply by moving to a high fire risk area.

That’s obviously true, if you don’t have a weapon available to you then you’re obviously not at risk using one. I still carry, have had this coverage for almost 10 years, carried for at least 20 years before starting the coverage, and I have never been close to needing to defend myself, let alone with a weapon. Lucky? Perhaps, but in reality my life does not take me into situations where self-defense is likely. I believe this is for most., though perhaps not for those here. Could it happen? Of course, but with my loss of confidence in this coverage, and just general knowledge ot the operation of insurance companies in general, I’m nolonger willing to give them my hard-earned dollars.
