Goodbye, it's been real!

The marketing attacks by competing companies and the recent USCCA policy changes in response to those mostly baseless attacks has actually increased my confidence in their coverage.

But I do agree that the likelihood of any of us needing that coverage is fortunately very low.

Regardless of your membership status, I am glad that you are sticking around the forum!

One of the aspects that I really like about the policy is that it covers all forms of self defense with and without whatever weapons you end up using. I can’t carry a firearm when I am working in CA, due to unconstitutional CA restrictions, but I am far more likely to need to defend myself there than in my home State. And far more likely to be critiqued by an anti self defense legal system there as well. Even if I don’t use a firearm.

I suspect Daniel Penny wishes he had self defense insurance.

Sorry to hear you’re going. I agree with others about certain instances where USCCA members weren’t covered. Not sure it’s the best idea, but I happen to have the funds. I decided to also pay for another company’s insurance. The way I figure it, I’m either covered by USCCA or I’m covered by the other company. If both fail me, well, I guess I don’t deserve to be covered. All I have to say is, if an event happens and USCCA doesn’t cover me, but the other company does, and I win, there’s going to be a major viral video chastising this company.

I carry both USCCA and CCW Safe insurance. Their coverages differ in certain details. Not especially cheap but since I carry I go the extra expense. If you carry and you’re not insured by USCCA, insure with somebody at least.

I can’t either. Retirement hasn’t been easy for me. I was an active member once but can’t now. Because of Parkinsons I’ve quit carrying too, which makes me feel naked when I travel. Enjoy your youth and health.

Hypothetically… you are involved in self defense situation… who do you call?

I was wondering the same. And, will they act as most medical insurers, arguing over which should be considered primary?
