It all comes down to what we are pushed to do. Most law abiding citizens will retract from a confrontation if the space allows. There will however come a time where I believe that law abiding citizens will be forced into a corner and the choice will be stand and protect or watch it happen to someone else and hope it is not us or we or me. I saw the video’s of Washington this weekend where a guy gut kicked in the face when down and out on the ground. Where were WE to stop that? Yeah cell phone video is good but WHO helped that guy? Who stopped the jackA$$ that kicked him in the head? Where was the dog pile?
It’s not just guns it’s physical presence and the will to not be intimidated. Who stood up in the restaurant? The 30 people eating that had fireworks shot into them? Who stood up? The lawless have become emboldened , I fear it will get worse before it gets better and God help us all if the election results as they stand are overturned in the courts.
I do not fear Antifa or BLM but they have more laws protecting them than I have protecting me, protecting mine and my own. There is something wrong with that.

In life sometimes you have to choose. There are things that you don’t want to do but you have to do. No doubt talk is cheap. Some folks will give up their weapons, as you can see in other countries. They just want to get bye without any trouble, just live their life. Some folks think there’s a little more to it. Some folks like to be free. Don’t want to be ruled like animals. Just as before some folks will stand. Win or lose they’ll stand.

If you are anti, you have a belief founded on perspectives and understandings.
If you are for ,you have a belief,founded on perspectives and understandings.
Before we wrangle or discuss,let’s come to an understanding of the question,beliefs and perspectives. Then if and when we agree to discuss we are at a common starting point to see if the starting point is valid,and then if the perspectives are valid.
Are we talking constitution
Are we talking a view that people are hypocrites
Are we talking about what the statements mean figuratively or literally
Are we talking about police,subject to political pressure or performing their duty or is it about their oaths?
Is it about people truly dying at 3am or if they have prepared for that eventuality.
You matter,everything said here matters,your points and the others.
Let’s understand you and your points and come let us reason together. By the metric you are using to assess the responses here.
But to be fair we need to know your metrics or thoughts,why you asked and phrased the questions as you did,and what was or is behind the question.

- I never miss the opportunity to vote.
- I never try to get out of Jury Duty, and find it mind-boggling when I see or hear of others trying to shirk the Citizen’s Responsibility.
- I “carried” the cartridge box during my time as an MP in the Army.

I’ve had my boots in the sands that were lost in time, surviving through nations that forfeited their rights or never had them.
To fight here is no different than I did there!
I’ve had this discussion with my Wife and Children as I showed them the copies of the founding documents & what our Rights not privileges are.
When someone asked such a question I take that as a sense to soften them up to acceptance or psychological acceptance to abolishing the Rights that we as U.S. Citizens have sworn to Uphold, Protect, & Defend against all enemies foreign & DOMESTIC!
Complacent pacification is sneaky and manipulative! It is the beginning of attempting to open a discussion then manipulate a complacency derived from a systemic collaborative sympathetic stance to an anti-rights agenda!
It attempts to open a door to the conscientious objector ideas.
If your neighbor is in need of help and are attacked for seizure, then we as citizens must stand together to protect one another!
The animal kingdom does this with great affect. We as those over animals must exercise the same! Regardless.
Call out the words “Firearm Seizure!!”
Then the neighbors help one another!
A “Golden Tongue” won’t work here.

As a note Shawn you stated a little but never answer in your view,be direct,u did not Christian,and to that I’ll mention Paul and others did some great work from jail.
I’ll also note depending on indeed anding and experience- some understand we are in a war now! Some want to see the conflict,when the world looks like the walking dead( that’s their humanity). Experience,education,training and exposure are like fine wine,allowing you to see or taste at differing levels or places in the process. A soldier sees 1 view,A spy a different view,a sneak a different view,an unsettled mind seeks validation where it wants to settle as it’s justification. Defensive vs aggressive,legal vs illegal actions. Try this
We are currently in a war,all actions are legal( some will require education),if those bringing the war do not understand their error or the forcefulness associated with their choice ( in my opinion based on faulty information)then the only option is removal- when they come depends on who you are and what they do to intersect with your world. But the result has to be the same,history of man has proven it. If you do not fight you will be subjugated and abused.
If you are disarmed you will be subjugated and abused.
If you have been taught wrong,you may seek to abuse others without recognizing you do not have the right, especially if being used by others for their gain of power.
If you live in the woods by your self and everything you do is illegal, but wasn’t illegal before. You may want to assess how you lost those rights while harming no one.
Power seeks its own level,and people chasing power have to step on others to achieve total domination( regardless of the speeches) .who holds true power the people,in their little fractured hands,and to take it from them you have to subjugate the majority view or align with it. If you can’t discuss it,violence usually follows or subjugation(police or Nazis taking weapons from lawful owners 1 at a time at midnight until power achieves it’s goal) if this happens ( or bad laws) people are subjugated. This will not pass(it’s power seeking) and if you value your freedoms,rights and life you have no choice but to fight.
Please note Christian scripture supports any fight,or death supported by the govt, while not necessarily agreeing that govt was desired( the desire was God first and an intemperate people(wanting power) got us to courts and govt. Scripture allows for all if God and Christ is first and or our desire is sanctioned by Govt. ( Relative to taking of life) obviously there is much there but I would point you to the Greek and Hebrew and using the grammatical structure of the word(a method of study) and studying in context(not prooftexting) as most are taught today. This is just a perspective and recommendation if that is where your issue is.
Shaw do not be afraid to speak,that’s how you get settled.
If it is around people and hypocrisy, I would say two things. 1) as an instructor once said a gun is a tool,there are lots of tools that do the same thing,however if you choose to carry a weapon a gun,be settled in what it means,what your responsibilities are,what you may have to do,before you strap it on,otherwise do not touch it.( It is a source of joy and pain)
- Their are lots of people in love with an ideal,that are not settled in their determination or mind,they are not necessarily hypocrites intentionally,but they can get you killed. Be settled,Be sure,train like life itself depends on it,seek not the fight or war,but if and when it comes in all its various forms, be settled,be prepared,be deadly.( Foreign or domestic,soldier,spy,citizen,militia(2a) or just not wanting to be subjugated without just law — be settled.

Well to the question who am I am a God fearing 35 year old father of 9 children. Who owns multiple firearms an elite member of uscca and worried that most people are not willing to sacrifice like are founders were. And with the current times it has made me question if I am really willing to put my life on the line to protect my own rights when a barrel is pointed at me.

I understand what your saying about making everyone think about how far they are willing to go. Some, are all talk. Others, will take it all the way if needed. If one of us isn’t sure our loved understand where we fall on the spectrum, we should discuss it with them.
I honestly believe, at my house, we would all be done away with. Everyone is proficient with small arms, and very devout in our beliefs in our God given rights.

@Shawn31 This is one of the issues I continually contemplate. I did take an Oath on multiple occasions through various enlistments and Civil Service appointments. I did take that Oath solemnly and will be held accountable for upholding it by Higher Authority and my own-self. We are the last bastion of shared liberty in the world. I don’t elect to let you or my other brothers and sisters down.
