Frequency of USCCA E-mail Messages

So is it just me, or are you also getting tired of the daily (sometimes more) e-mail messages trying to push for gifting a USCCA subscription? Normally I would just unsubscribe, but I don’t want to miss the other messages that come through.

I almost joined the NRA, but I didn’t because all of the reviews said that if you join, be prepared to be asked for money on a daily basis. This feels like exactly the same thing. As a paying elite member, I don’t feel like this should be pushed so hard. If someone asks me about CCW coverage, I would naturally think of USCCA and don’t need a daily reminder. While I can appreciate USCCA trying to grow their business, I don’t think spamming your paying members is the way to go.

Update: I “literally” just got another one while drafting this post.

Rant over.

I actually don’t mind. If any of my family that carry, didn’t have coverage, I would think about a USCCA membership as a gift. It’s the gift that keeps on giving the whole year.

3, sometimes 4 emails per week… however I don’t mind. These emails remind me to look at USCCA website from time to time

I get a boatload, even for things I’ve already purchased. I spoke with them (via Chat with an Expert) about it and there is really nothing to do other than just opt out and, like @Cloudified, I would then miss out on things I may be interested, but it is getting annoying enough that I may do so anyway if it keeps up.

Glad I’m not alone.

It’s getting on my nerves a bit, especially since I don’t have any other social media presence, all I get is USCCA ads, boat ads and marina ads. The almost, daily videos of the hot new gun on the market just in time for the holidays is getting tiresome to.

Though there have been a couple of really good articles and videos this week. KevinM EQB viideo was pretty good, the lady who was paralized in a chair,Beth Alcazar’s Pacifiers and Peacemakers was really good, and there was a (new to me writer) article on movement to contact when you might have to get to a family member at wrong end of house during a break in. Fortunately my house is not set up that way, but a good thought exercise.

But to be honest I am not here for the content the USCCA publishes. I like the community, both public and members only. I wish our nation could do this. I know we have some left leaning or even extreme left leaning community members, we have Independents and moderates from both parties and of course we have our libertarians and our far right wing members as well.

I like that we can agree to disagree, and for the most part it remains respectful and most importantly get outside of these one sided echo chambers and learn from each other’s perspectives.

I get a regular membership offer from the USCCA, but it is sent by the IL State Rifle Assoc, not the USCCA. I believe the ISRA sends that one out to all membership on a regular basis, it is how I discovered the USCCA so I am OK with that one.

My USCCA sourced emails are legit, membership renewal (1 per year) and notifications for posts on this site.

You may want to look into a spam filter (MailWasher is free) and train it to remove your inbox "frequent flyers’. This time of year the filter is filtering over 50% of my daily emails, Black Friday "deals’ are keeping the bit bucket full.

I don’t mind the mail either USPS or email from NRA and NRA-ILA, NRA-ILA is actually very informative to let you know. As far as NRA phone calls, just don’t answer the call, we all need the NRA, they are the biggest out there and when they’re name comes up from the liberal haters out there that’s fine because that means GOA, SAF, and the rest of them as well as State organizations are nearly under the radar and actually near as autonomous as you can get. As far as phone calls #1 Don’t give the NRA your phone number, or #2 Don’t answer your phone. As far as email goes; hit the spam box or your delete key.
You have rights and freedoms as an American that no other country on the globe has.

I don’t want to mark USCCA email as spam, because some of it is not marketing based as I don’t want to miss that content. I’m getting tired of the “marketing” for new subscriptions. If I have a family member that wants CCW coverage, I don’t need daily emails reminding me to pass them over to USCCA. I love USCCA so far - except for the DAILY “please gift” our membership to someone else. I wish there was a way to stop marketing messages from them like other sites where you can pick and choose what type of emails you would like to receive.

Have you checked “email preferences settings” on your USCCA account?

Well Virtual is there a possibility you are receiving email at 2 different email addresses? Or; you can also call USCCA customer service and make them aware of your dilemma and they can fix the situation if you let them know that you are a member. Just let them know what you are experiencing.

It seems that if I uncheck Membership & Subscription promos that I might miss other emails I may want, but this is good to know. Thank you.

Hi @Cloudified - you can definitely fine tune the emails you are receiving! Here’s how:

  1. Log into USCCA.com (upper right hand corner of the screen)
  2. Click on Account Details
  3. Click on Email Preferences
  4. Select the emails you’d like to receive

We do share a lot of information via email - but we want you to be able to tailor the emails to meet your needs.

Please PM me if you need more assistance - if you have 2 emails in our system I can fix that for you as well.

I made some tweaks. Hopefully unchecking “promos” will take care of my issue. I certainly don’t want to uncheck Membership & Sub Reminders. Thank you so much.

Just updated my email subscriptions - hopefully that’ll work! But…I’ve also been getting double the emails. Not sure why my email is in there twice…it’s kind of weird. But it’s the “Sign up now” when I’m already a paying member that were kind of irritating…I can deal with duplicates.

USCCA likes you twice more
