EDC ideas

Hello everyone, just looking for more ideas. So right now, my EDC is either a Springfield XD Mod 3 or a Taurus G3C and a Leatherman Signal. What do y’all carry?

Glock 43/19, Polymer 80 g19/17 /26 style, and s&w m&p 2.0 45c on occasion in the woods. P80 G17/26 also woods guns, that and the Smith are carrying hard cast ammo, the 26 swaps to hp’s on grocery day. Lately it’s been mainly the 43 and 26, reason being I’ve been carrying owb due to hip/sciatica and the short guns hide under a tee quite well.

Wearing scrubs a Springfield XDs .45 in an Eberlestock fanny pack, most often RIA 1911full size or officer’s in Versa Carry holsters. On range days using revolvers I carry a Ruger GP100 or S&W 329 in Wilson leather. I tend to be more dress coordinated (fancy) with revolver carry as they’re harder to conceal and I’ve found where folks have gotten a semi-concealed look even womenfolk have complemented the leatherwork.

Currently most used combo: Kahr CW45 plus spare, Nitecore MT1A Pro, LM Crater C33TX, pepper spray, space pen and notepad, and a 4xAA belt pouch filled with odds and ends (i.e. Bic lighter, mini channel lock pliers, etc.).

The flashlight, knife, and pen/notepad are used daily for tasks, so they are not “tactical”.

I have three EDC’s I carry often, depending on factors like clothing I’m wearing, places I’m going, etc. And they are (In order of use)…

Glock 19 w/optic

Taurus G3C stock sights

Taurus 709, when something extra small and thin is warranted (But only 7 rounds).

I really love both of the Taurus guns. And the 709 is really a surprising performer for its size. But having older eyesight here, I do prefer having an optic when I can. So the Glock usually wins. If my G3C would have been optic capable, I would have probably just added that instead of getting the Glock. (Not dissing the Glock either, tho. It’s a great gun.)

Glock .40 10mm casing FBI issued secret service issued penetration level 3 soft armor. Will put threat down quick. Large Glock but gets the job done . Also Glock 19x low recoil originally designed for military personnel before they switched sidearm . Making the glock19x available to the public.

40’s a beast. One of my P80’s, generally set up up with a .22lr slide on it, has the grip of a 19 with the slide of the 17. I call it my x19

Mostly I carry revolvers. .old Taurus.450, .45 colt. (My old faithful). Depending on the occasions and dress, sometimes I carry 2or3 .357s. also .22WMR . Kel-tec.380 ankle holster sometimes. My “woods” open carry gun is a S&W governor, loaded with 45 very"hot" heavy hard cast bullets. Might also carry the Taurus public defender with.410 birdshot. I reload which gives me alota ammo options. Of course, in everyday city life, I only carry factory rounds in my EDC. Hornady critical defense.

For me, my EDC (everyday carry) is my full frame Smith and Wesson M&P M2.0 4.25. At times it’s a little hard to completely conceal but, if I wear the right outfits, it no problem. Why do I carry a full frame pistol as my EDC, because it gives me the best shots at the range and that’s what I would want in a life or death situation.
