Why are you so angry about IL? Do you have any better alternatives?
I’ll go further… do not expect April 4th to be the last day of your “stay home order”.
There have no right to make me stay home. There is nothing fun to do at all.
There are plenty of fun things to do, @Brian110. You just have to be creative. Complaining about it not being fun just makes it harder
They don’t involve spending every cent I have between paychecks, plus like I told my boyfriend, the only thing to really do is be successful at a job, something I promised my parents I would never do since they made new have a job in high school and continue education to have a career instead of what I wanted.
The economy is so bad right now, I’m putting small chunk of money in stocks hoping to make enough money for a new rifle
. Makin money out of nothing!
So far no, there is no written right to make you stay home. But you have to realize you cannot think about yourself at this moment. There is “your right” vs “common sense”. Choose wisely.
Oh, believe me… there is a lot of fun at home, just look for it, don’t seat at couch in front of TV…
What about knowing your firearm better? Do another field strip, try dry firing. Any USCCA books? These are awesome. Not interested in firearms at this moment? Read any book…

There’s 3 more firearms I want to buy. They are the Ruger 57, the Kimber Rapide black ice, and a custom .50 desert eagle. None are in stock, so forced to have patience again. I’m forced to do something for myself and actually have money in a bank account instead of just cents, and forced to actually do something with my job.
I’m in cook county which appears to be the hotspot in Illinois and that is not enough to make me stay in. It is only health. I don’t know why no one understands this country owes me something after getting shot as a cop and getting the only job I liked taken away from me, and get nothing but a career in arson investigation and forced to learn about it… instead of getting disability and only having fun.
Many people get injured in the line of duty or while serving in the armed forces, @Brian110. And many go on to be happy, healthy productive members of society who are sheltering in place and enjoying their lives right now.
There’s no high speed chases anymore, there’s no commanding respect as an arson investigator, like there is as swat or narcotics, and expected to want to be successful for no one. At least my boyfriend is here. This could be a nice condo building but we can’t even use the pool because of the management complying with the unconstitutional orders by the government.
I think we might be getting trolled here.
I jumped ship on non of my stocks. Yes they took a hit but will come back, and the ones I have won’t take long.
Costco- My best performer. I don’t agree with their politics but their stock has been amazing.
Ruger- Not a great performer, especially with the Trumpster at the wheel but with this CV thing it should do very well.
Worst performer of all time was XM/Sirius.
If we had a different administration, I would be more skeptical of the virus restrictions. Quarantine isn’t so bad as we are allowed to be outdoors and we have the utilities working well and TV, radio, and the internet. I think of how bad it really could be if there were no electricity, etc. The bigger worry I may have is there may be another virus unleashed on us another year. There are several countries and ideologues who want to hurt us. So we should be vigilant, but not panic. (Mrs “T” - Illinois)
If our utilities were shut down… that would be BAD. I’m very thankful our utilities - including internet - are all working well.
I’m Brian’s boyfriend and I am considering becoming a member as well, the way he is blocked for his comments regarding the unlawful violation of the right to travel and right to assemble by this group is concerning. We both would be considered high risk for complications because of asthma and severe allergies and the fact Brian smokes, the fact is there is only 16 deaths in the state of Illinois. It is just a virus that is more dangerous to the elderly and WE ARE NOT THEIR KEEPERS. We both work for the state fire marshal’s office and we both are doing very little work from home because no government has the right to stop people from doing things unless they are forcible felonies like rape, murder, arson etc. the states have no right to force people to protect their health at all. The government thinks they had the right to force our trip to Denmark to be postponed which was supposed to be this week, and he is extremely mad. This is not a lawful order to stay home and no one should if they do not want to.
I will respectfully disagree. We are the keepers of those less able than ourselves. Call it sheepdog mentality, call it my Christian background, call it being a decent human being. It is an inconvenience your trip was cancelled, for you. How many people are out of work right now? How many don’t have childcare because daycares are closed? How many have buried a family member because of this virus? If you aren’t worried about you and Brian, that’s for you to decide. Don’t endanger others, because you feel “inconvenienced.”
@Dicki, I have talked with Brian about the situation and why his commenting abilities have been suspended for the present time. Out of respect for Brian, I will not go into that conversation publicly except to say that it was not for what you’re stating.
I hope that you both stay safe during this unusual time!
He has the right to express how he feels, and that he is expected by people and the government to act like someone who cares about the community. He protected me from a violent attack last year and lost probably half his blood volume and refused medical attention. I know he would defend me if it meant he would be killed by doing so. I also know if someone who was my age was in need of anything he would do what he can for them and he has. He will not be controlled by anyone and I support him on that. The state and federal government turned their backs on him when he tried doing the right thing as a cop and tried de escalating the situation he was dispatched to instead of ending the threat and no one besides me was there for him. I don’t blame him being against the state and federal government when they basically told him your alive and able to work so your not getting anything from us.
I am so glad he was able to protect you, @Dicki. And he does have the right to express how he feels.
The USCCA Community is here to help everyone best learn how to protect themselves and has a set of Community Guidelines that are to be followed. If those guidelines are not followed, we have the right to limit someone’s interactions on this platform.
I think the it may have even reached a new level today…
