Community Suggestions - From YOU!

Happy Monday!

If you’re new to the USCCA Community, I post a question for feedback every Monday. We want YOUR help to make this the best online Community for you! Please take a few moments to look back on prior questions - I’d love your feedback on those too!

This week’s question: We made an update last week to show the categories on the home page. Does that help you navigate the system better?

What other changes would you like to see to enhance your experience here?

I think it is easy for a user to navigate. I like it, it keeps the topics organized.

Hi Dawn,

I am getting used to the system. Probably a little more tweaking needed. No real complaints.

Starting a brand new project is always “interesting”. LOL!

Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work, Dawn.

Thanks for your support, @38Snubnose! Any suggestions for further tweaking? We’ve got some more changes in mind, but I want to make sure we’re doing what would make it better for you all!

Are the newest responses first or last? Was not certain at first. Having the newest first, by topic, is my thought. (Please remember: I am “old”. LOL!!)

Sorry I was out sick and missed the Monday question this week! So I guess it will have to be a Tuesday Question!

What do you think of the new way to log into the Community? Any issues with it? :computer:

And…

What other updates would you like to see?

Yup - going to keep asking this one because you may come up with something new every week and I really want to know!

Yay! Glad to hear it @James! There are so many topics, I want to make sure everyone can find what they’re looking for as easily as possible.

So far a fan of the breakdown of categories. Makes it very easy to post in the correct section and find topics to ensure you’re constantly reposting things that have already been discussed

Hi! So i was welcomed to this community as of…yesterday. haha. I find everything fantastic. Its very nicely laid out and easy to navigate. The topics are widely ranged and the conversation is friendly and informative! I am definitely a fan of the ‘timestamp’ that shows when the most recent comment was made. My only difficulty with the thread is when someone replys to a comment. (Bare with me with my lack of terminology here). Is there a way that replies could be directly below the original comment? Meaning when i read thru the thread someone will reply to a comment from a few days ago. It shows who they are repling to but to see the original comment you have to scroll back and find it. Or is this already laid out like that on desktop version vs mobile? Or am i overlooking something? Thats it though! I am definitely hooked on this community and looking forward to future discussions. Thanks @Dawn for all your work into this. Keep it up lady! You’re doing a great job! :):grinning:

 Thanks for the kind words, Kelly!

Yup - I totally know what you mean by the response thing. I’ll add it to my list of questions for the much more technically inclined than I am. That may be a function we cannot change. If it is, I have a few ideas for low-tech work arounds that we may be able to implement.

Keep the feedback coming! All ideas are good ideas as they may spark a great conversation and awesome updates!

I agree @Kelly. The trail of replies is confusing.

There are a lot of different suggestions about resources, but they are quite varied, and buried in different topics. Can we do a separate area with a list of just member-suggested resources, grouped accordingly, and no discussion? Examples would be trauma kits, speed loaders, body armor, training, etc. Of course, the USCCA partners would have to be listed first.

Great idea @AAlan!

I’ll put it on the docket so we can figure out the best way to make it work.

Welcome to the last Monday in February! This year is FLYING by!!

Did you know you can invite friends and family to the USCCA Online Community? And they do NOT have to have a USCCA Membership to be in the Community?

And feedback question for this week: Do you like the current categories? Are there more categories you’d like to see?

You can always start new topics - they do not need to fit neatly into one of the categories posted. We can create new categories as the Community grows.

Good morning awesome USCCA Community! Happy March 4th!

Two questions for you today:
Do you like the current categories? Are there more categories you’d like to see?

You can always start new topics - they do not need to fit neatly into one of the categories posted. We can create new categories as the Community grows.

and…

What else would you like to see in the USCCA Online Community? Is there a certain functionality you’d love to see? Or a certain topic? Would you like more training here? Video? I’d love to hear ALL of your suggestions!
