@Dawn I think the number of categories are fine for now. I think too many more and it would get confusing with the current level of members.
I still only look at topics when I make a thread. When I log onto to here, I am mostly on mobile, and I just select the drop list and hit latest, because if I looked at what was in certain categories, I would never click on some categories, because they dont excite me as much. I would just live in the guns and gear thread.
As far as content I would like to see, I am already seeing an organic flow of conversation that works for me.
One thing I would do is cut out the limit of characters required for a response or a title. If I wanted to start a topic like “FN Fans!” Not only would nobody respond because FN isn’t as popular as it should be, but the title would need to be longer.
@James, I’ve heard the reduced topic character request a couple of times. The thinking behind the longer topics is they will be more specific.
Since this request keeps coming up, I’ve reduced the number of characters required to 10 - if the topics get to ambiguous, I’ll be increasing it again.
Hi Dawn
It’s “armed preacher man”.
Just would like to impress my USCCA family to give your loved ones unconditional love while you are blessed with opportunities to do so. We never know…
There is an app for the software platform. I’m trying it out for my phone, but I’m finding it buggy. As soon as it’s more stable I’ll be sure to let you know.
Not sure if this policy can be changed but one day I was LIKING posts that I found helpful (and there were a lot of those and still are) and I got a notice that I was reaching my limit of LIKES. YIKES! I like LIKING posts if they are positive and/or helpful and to limit my LIKES is limiting my positive feedback to others. Can we extend the LIKES?
I looked in the Terms of Service for the Community Guidelines and I couldn’t find reference to my question so I will ask it here: Is the posting of pictures allowed in the community? I have posted pictures that came from myself and I have seen others post pictures however now I can not see any of these pictures, just a blurred out photo that is unrecognizable. Is is my computer witch is a MacBook Pro or something that the community is doing that is blocking these pictures from being seen?
You should be able to upload and view photos, @NJStraightShooter. I know mine sometimes take a bit when I’m waiting for them to download, which makes them fuzzy until it’s done.
Can you see this photo?
If not, or if this issue continues, please pm me here (easier to track the issue conversation over pm). I’ll definitely get to the bottom of this for you!
In the post, “What is the biggest issue facing gun owners today?”, I can see the image to the links to videos but I can’t see any of the pictures that you and others posted. The same goes for other sections too. I did see the SigSauer Gun and three clips picture that you posted.
@NJStraightShooter, Thanks for getting back t me. I’m going to message you privately. If a bunch of people have an issue seeing pictures we’ll take the conversation public again.
