Here are murder rates in major U.S. cities (cities with greater than 100,000 residents) for 2019.
These rates are calculated using the latest statistics available — the FBI’s 2019 Crime in the United States data, as well as data culled directly from city police officials and the U.S. Census Bureau.

    1. Newark, New Jersey, the murder rate - 18.08 per 100,000.
    1. Chattanooga, Tennessee, the murder rate - 18.15 per 100,000.
  • 28. Chicago, Illinois, the murder rate - 18.26 per 100,000.
    1. Buffalo, New York, the murder rate - 18.38 per 100,000.
    1. Montgomery, Alabama, the murder rate - 18.54 per 100,000.

Not sure if they WANT to live there.

What I find hard to believe is that people put up with the crime and corruption at such elevated levels. Maybe that explains why this country is such a tinderbox at the moment. So many people have had enough of the top to bottom BS. Maybe things would change if we could all just focus that frustration towards constructive solutions instead of destructive divisions.

Curious to see what 2020 and 2021 hold. Born and raised in Chicago, but move out to the suburbs years ago prior to the downward spiral in city government. Ms. Lightfoot’s antics are always a “fun” read.

Which also means there are thousands of better places to live. A slightly less horrendous hellscape is still a hellscape.

Yeap… but you can be also murdered in paradise… if such still exists…

Chicago suburbs are surging too. No reports on MSM about that either.

Wow those are some very serious statistics. Makes me feel happy to be in VA. Must pray for Chicago.

Richmond VA is a good ways from me but people can always come from there to the Hampton Roads.

No cities from Texas on the list. A fun state to live in.

It’s too hot in Texas to run around shooting people. As long as the power grid can keep the A/C on, you’re safe.

Love living in Florida, quite pro2A. Yes, one city of ours is on there. Im in Greater Orlando, 75% of my loved ones, neighbors and church family legally carry. I think this speaks tremendously on the reason there aren’t more cities there. Most people are very polite, even happier since Desantis doesn’t force any overhanded federal restrictions whether Covid related or 2A.

Granted, most of my loved ones are prior service or current leo of some sort.

Thank God no one was killed in that shooting and they will get caught. I’m sure someone got the plate number.
