Now that I have my CCW and am carrying outside the home I realize I need a safe in the car so I can keep my pistol secure in case I can’t carry at a secure/sensitive location.
Recommendations for a safe/lockbox that is reliable? I live in Florida so it would need to be able to handle the heat.

That works and is much cheaper. Could make one out of an ammo can!
That’s it. I have king cab, and there is one bolted to the floor behind the console, between the back seats. I can reach it from the driver seat. The other is stapped to the front seat frame.

@Matthew351 Plenty of choices, Harbor Freight has some too, gunmagwarehouse.com has some for under the seat that may be your only choice.
I like this one because it is tall enough inside to house my holstered firearm. Also like the two points of contact for the locking mechanism instead of one.

I have this one locked inside my van, works great. I keep it locked to the seat frame and have had zero issues with it.

I ordered one of the boxes with the cable to keep under my seat. A coworker showed me his today and it made sense.
I don’t know what kind of car you have, but there are several companies out there that manufacture complete replacements for front door panels and center consoles that are very secure. Every other type has its own vulnerability.
