I’m not seeing anything “Born to Protect” branded yet… I want that phrase on my gear
@Dawn?
BTW, I do like the overall site updates so far, and the new motto.
I’ll ask to see what the timeline is for the new gear.
We’ve just rolled it out on two of our web pages so far. We’re in the process of updating everything (we have a few pages ). I’d expect it to be a bit to permeate through the rest of our pages.
Scarlet And Gold
Actually I kinda like it
I love the new slogan: “Born To Protect” and the meaning behind the message of protecting ourselves and our families. That is right on.
I do have an issue with the design with that particular border, however. It makes one think of the US Army. In fact, on my little phone screen, the black color looked a bit greenish. Ha!
I‘m wondering if people will think:
“Is this company something to do with the army?”
It’s just a bit confusing of a message to be this design.
Thank you for listening.
I love your program, training, and magazine!
Keep up the good work, USCCA!
Welcome to the group @Bobby15
Excellent thought!
Thank you for the awesome feedback! Please feel free to keep it coming!
I’ll let you in on a little be of our thought process for the new look and feel:
Buckling your child into their seat belt is protection. Putting water wings on them before they go in the pool is protection. Building a house for your dog is protection. Making sure your kid has his football helmet before heading to practice is protection.
It’s innate. It’s not a visual action. It’s in our hearts and part of who we are. That’s what we’re are trying to portray.
We’re focusing on the everyday reality (condition yellow) of protecting our families with a bit less emphasis on showing the defensive shooting portion (condition orange or red).
One of our thought leaders here put it as: Knowing you’re ready is something YOU feel, not something others need to see. And that really hit home for me. It’s the reason I conceal. Focusing on the fact that I’m born to protect goes beyond my firearm and my training.
That by NO means makes our firearm or training any less important, but born to protect helps bridge the gap between gun owners and everyone else who wants to protect their families.
so maybe it’s just me, but these are images designed to convey the point of being protective… and since they’re visual images, I’m kinda thinkin I should see protective. Or the point has not been conveyed.
Granted I may want to not look like a wolf, but I don’t want to look like a sheep either. If what our images are selling is condition white, I think we’ve missed the point.
I like the new concept and the Blue & Gold suggestion. Jim S
I don’t see our images as condition white - I’ve spent a lot of time buckling a 1 yo into a car seat lately, and I’m not in condition white - but I’m also not drawing attention to myself. It kind of goes back to the gray man mentality. We don’t need to advertise we’re carrying or prepared to defend ourselves, we want to blend in. Maybe the pictures are too blended in?
We’re going beyond the critical incident self-defense aspect of protection - we’re showing that we are born to protect in every area of our lives.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not disagreeing with you. We are seeing the same images and taking them two different ways. It’s great to have this feedback! Please keep it coming!
I think it was time have a change and you accomplished it. Women may look innocent but are much stronger than they appear. As a jewelry store owner they expect me to have a gun in the store but when I’m out and about they think I’m not a threat. More women need to learn to make themselves secure both in protection and self-confidence.
I like the new look. It goes with the mission of the company.
Welcome to the group @Judy4!
I agree with JamesR about the Logo. Every time I see it I will think of the Army, and having retired from the AF (65-86) I would prefer to see the AF Logo. I have a suggestion for you. Display the mini logo of each of our Armed Forces. During our years of service we all took an oath “to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…” In times of conflict we were armed and served and are serving in some not so nice places. The oath does not expire. As a retiree or veteran we are now living an oath to support and defend (protect) our families plus the US. I feel very fortunate to have found the USCCA. You folks do a great job, Thank you!
I like the new look.
