I agree with you. I have years of experience on
Commercial Plumbing, but when Residual homes
were using cast iron, those clogs could become
nightmares. Drain Opener and Drain Cleaners can
be safely used but dangerous.

Drano that was used, liquid or dry forms were deadly
and water does not mix, water activates. “Acid”, clear
as water, but causes bad burns if poured on you.
Your car batteries contains sulfuric acid too.

Solids such as Grease could line cast iron sewer
lines and we have major issue of
a clog, tree roots are handled with another type of
Chemicals.

The Homemade Bombs we read about can be a very
a uncontrollable mixture and when liquids are added
in a closed container, it will be deadly. Never a
teenagers game and it was used by a licensed
people, not now.

A car battery can be exploded when misused and I
have seen the damages to a person’s face and hand.

Remember Oklahoma years ago with fuel and
fertilizer ??? Household Bleach and mixing
other cleaning chemicals can be deadly too.

Please forgive me.

Great info, now I’d like to know, do I need to call the bomb squad to remove said water bottle?

@Scott52 YES!!!   That’s a GOOD IDEA!! Get the bomb squad, police, homeland security, FBI, ATF, CIA everybody off their @$$ and do their JOB of protecting the Country and the US citizens from the TERRORISTS in this Country.

Wouldn’t it be easier just ban all drain cleaners?
Why bother all XXX agencies?

It is not a bomb, but simply a chemical reaction. I explain that in writing. Cleaning chemicals’ do not
mix in certain forms. I have been in Environmental Services many years in healthcare. Chemicals have
to have all the information written down, Known as Right to Know Laws.

Bleach is a cleaning chemical to destroy germs, if you mix Bleach with other chemicals, you die or destroy all you have. DRANO has been around many years, in itself clears clogged drains, but it
will explode, in tight and sealed containers and other chemicals added, simply water. HAIR AND GREASE !!!

Nitro in liquid form has two parts, you mix them together and you die in a explosion. Sulfuric Acid is
in many car batteries, them alone is controlled, you operate your car to work or travel, you know
the rest. Explosion and you burn and loose your eyes.

Some nut cases use it to hurt others or kill. Sulfuric Acid in pure form is Industrial, not for the uneducated.

It’s an “EXPLOSIVE CHEMICAL WATER BOTTLE DEVISE” Maybe that’s a good term to call this “Drano Bombs” as referred to by Kirby Jonas.

Isn’t that exactly what a nuke is

Modern nuclear weapons work by combining chemical explosives, nuclear fission, and nuclear fusion. The explosives compress nuclear material, causing fission; the fission releases massive amounts of energy in the form of X-rays, which create the high temperature and pressure needed to ignite fusion.

@Scott52 Let’s not get too TECHNICAL (Confidential Material) so Nuclear Inspectors don’t coming knocking on the door. :grimacing:

That’s the difference between us and them. We would ban the drain cleaner and they would ban the water!

Don’t forget they would ban the aluminum foil also.

That’s where you’re wrong, they need the foil for communications :+1:
