Best way to carry when wearing shorts

Summertime carry is more difficult for me with wearing shorts and no belt. I just ordered a belly band and hope that will help fix the issue. Winters are great as I’ve got jeans, belt and coat. It’ easy then to be concealed. When in shorts and t-shirt in the summer, my EDC seems to weigh down my shorts and a belt just isn’t comfortable for me. Will let you know about the belly band I ordered after it comes in.

What does everyone else use in the summer?

I wear a belt with all my shorts. I can still carry my glock 19.

Belt for me as well. I wear cargo shorts almost all summer, and carry my M&P 45c daily. For a belt, I use a NexBelt. Very comfortable, and I haven’t had any problems with it, other than needing to put some Loctite in the retention screws.

Redhead shorts from Cabelas when they were on sale for $10, and my Nextbelt for my PC Shield 9.

I don’t wear shorts HA!

If you do, might be a good idea to start looking at some of the micro compacts or derringers or dsignated “pocket pistols” for your EDC.

Carry Corset. No belt required. Just sayin’

I spare everyone the glare…LOL…I never wear shorts. But I did see a belt that kind of looks like a weight belt that straps around the waste. I thought it was a very nice idea. Looked comfortable and held the firearm and two mags I think. Was said to be made with shorts, sweatpants, running wear etc in mind.

Cargo jean shorts and regular t-shirts. I have a Vedder holster and belt that works fine. There is no weight being pulled on shorts even though I carry XD Mod 2 3.3" in 45.

Cargo shorts with a Lead Devil tactical belt, carry either M&P2.0c, Shield, or HK P2000Sk and spare mags no issues.

Tru-Spec cargo shorts. M&P BG380 in cargo pocket for me, and doesn’t print.

The mom in me says wear a belt!

How large of a gun are you carrying? A smaller/lighter carry may help with the weight factor (as @Wildrose suggested), but remember the recoil might be worse then.

I wear shorts a lot. I carry a Glock 26 in a Remora holster under a t shirt. No problem. Never been made.

I can carry my gun with anything I wear and don’t need a belt since it’s a magnetic JM4 Tactical holster and very comfortable against the body.

Yes @Dawn that’s the site…they are not cheap, but I wouldn’t give mine up for anything else. I can wear my holster with sweats, shorts, jeans, dress pants, whatever I have in my closet and it doesn’t print.

I don’t care what make holster I’m wearing I need a belt or suspenders because I don’t have enough butt to hold up even a swim suit for long absent one.

Old age is hell.
