Another Shooting that is in California

I don’t think it will do any good we arrest people for killing and people still kill. I think the problem is people think weapons are for killing. (Well not most people.) The media capitalized on that. Politicians capitalize on the media or vice a versa.

104 deaths per day is the US average for motor vehicle accidents

Just randomly throwing out something as a reference to put the number 6 into perspective. Consider exactly how strictly the nation enforced traffic laws and how much thought people put into the safety of their vehicles and how much media and politician time and attention the two get.

Just sayin’

Many Men and Women were brought up by Parents
that had good hearts and morals or by good people
People that trained children to be responsible. They
made a positive decision to be law abiding citizens.

The people that commented crimes made a decision to
break laws, taking drugs and chemicals to escape
reality, but they had to make their mind up to use a firearm illegally and take a life.

Last, their are people that have made mistakes and
they went through major problems, but they made that
Choice to Live their Life in the correct way and they too are Law Abiding Men and Women. There is still hope.

The USSC leak was probably one of the Justices, and none of them are going to fess-up or accuse another.

Read a report that the firearm used was a Cobray M11 9mm. I suspect that is not on the CA approved handgun list. Though the report also said authorities were able to link the firearm to the shooter which, if true, suggests he purchased it legally. Perhaps before the ban?

At any rate, this won’t fit well into the media’s racist white gun owners meme. Looks like it was a member of the local Asian community. Likely another angry incel who insists on taking a bunch of innocent people out before offing themselves. Though in this case it was an older man instead of a young one. So we may not get the usual internet manifesto stating how they had to do it because everyone treated them like the losers they are.

It is my personal belief is that they know. For reasons known only to them they are not letting it out

I just saw a post on FB that Pelosi did call some priests to do just that at her home.

Would have loved to lived there back in the 50’s. I didn’t come along until ‘61 though.

Yeah. These incidents are sad, but they also don’t help our cause per se.

Each incident results in law-abiding citizens losing some freedoms or paying more.

In California this weekend, that perpetrator was in his lower 70’s. This one made me think how challenging it is to reduce these incidences.

As many have pointed out in other pages, it requires tackling it from multi fronts, mental health, and starting out educating our youth early.

In this case, the assailant then committed suicide. If you take the firearm out of the equation, and he still killed himself, I ask one think about “Could someone have caught his mental health signs and could someone have intervened?” Some, not all.

Enforcement seems laxed.

Despite my concerns of loss of more freedoms, after the next set of laws gets passed this year, they may propose even more strict laws. It seems like more change will come, a repeated cycle. Especially considering how strict the laws are in Canada, Mexico, and the UK.

I’d rather if changes be made, that I or we be part of the discussion, instead of just being reactive.

Check out the brave hero though, facing the assailant, around the time of one of two possible attacks

And again???

I saw that headline tonight, and was quite surprised. That’s not a typical profile for a “mass shooter.” But I also read that it may have stemmed from a domestic situation. That, unfortunately, is not so uncommon.

I am surprised that this is happening in the Asian community. I have dealt with a lot of Asians and they are the most humblest of people. And the shooters in both cases were older Asian men, that’s crazy. That young kid Brandon is definitely a hero in my book.

I have that notion also

I found this video hard to watch quietly. I wanted to yell “shoot him” at the screen. He had the gun pointed at the bad guy multiple times. Did he not know how to use it or was he unwilling to shoot?

I don’t mean to criticize a hero. He prevailed so pulling the trigger wasn’t necessary. Huge props and kudos to this guy.
