Your Training Bucket List

The August/September issue of The Concealed Carry Magazine talks about your Training Bucket List:

Which of the following, mentioned in that article, have you done:

  • Draw from your holster and fire
  • Shooting while moving
  • Training in a shoot house
  • Shoot from your vehicle
  • Shoot at someone who’s shooting at you
  • Take a knife-skills class

What is on your Training Bucket List?

Shoot house, force on force, a rifle/carbine class, and vehicle related

On my list: Shoot house, vehicle, carbine, firearms retention, close quarters defense / grappling, more first aid.
Maybe knife skills.
And :grimacing: force on force :grimacing:

If y’all figure out how I can knock 40 years off my age, that’ll make more of that doable.

I took a class where we shot from around some cars, never shot from inside one. I am looking into some more classes for this year and next. Maybe some low light stuff…

I’d like to shoot at someone who’s shooting at me, simunition training of course, shoot from a vehicle, and a shoot house. There’s a local range/training facility that does a shoot house with simuntion, that I’m going to sign up for, when I get time.

I would like to train in a shoot house and shoot at someone shooting at me.

There’s also probably a couple of training classes I’d create a bucket list for…I’ve got Rob Pincus and Dave Young checked off, but would love to go to Thunder Ranch, GunTalk’s First Person Defender…Warrior Poet’s classes would be awesome to go through I’m sure, but I think they’re for LEO only.

Maybe, but, you’ll also be giving up 40 years of experience.
