Would you still buy Glock

… if you can have another handgun for the same price range?

Define “much better” when compared to “good enough for numerous military and LE agencies”.

Economic wisdom suggests buying a good gun, and using rest of free budget for ammo and training. So yea, I would buy Glock.

I don’t own one, never owned one, but if they were only priced “right” last Black Friday, I would’ve been ready to take the plunge.

Fair enough.
“Much better” sounds differently, depending who is saying it.

This was posted not because I’m a fan of Wilson Combat (actually not a fan of P320 ), I just wanted to see Glock users opinion.

Not a new one. A good used one at a fair price…sure.

I have the wilson module for one of my 320’s. I do like it better than factory

Are you selecting a present (for yourself?) and hesitating between a Glock and another vendor? I noticed your posting about Staccato event.

That was a simple question that doesn’t need anything than a simple answer.

Let’s do this. Even I hate changing OP, I will correct it to makes discussion easier.
There will be no “much better” anymore.

nope never been big on Glocks owned one got rid of it and don’t plan on buying another

No. I have two and frankly I’m not impressed. What really makes me not like Glock as a company, is they have created a gun they want to sell you at a price and quality that is maximized to meet their profit model. I don’t have a problem with this, per se, except that the Glock has been around for 30+ years and it is basically the same gun – they’ve failed to make it better because people keep buying what they’re selling for the price they’re asking. But DA you say… yeah yeah yeah… they have failed to integrate on what was the OG to make it a great gun – they stopped with just-good-enough, and I really don’t respect that, especially when you bring up your point – why buy Glock when you can have something better at the same price. I would go with not-the-Glock each and every time…

I just bought a Glock. Why? Because I wanted to have a Glock in my collection. Now I have a Glock, and I have already started fixing it up with a red dot. Next is Cerikote the barrel and maybe put a light on it.

So you’re saying Glock is the Bose of the firearm world - I agree.

Like the Model T’s. Millions made. You can have them in any color, as long as they are black.

You asked for a one word answer: No.

From what I understood there are several things that are sub-par compared to other brands. I don’t want to have to adjust my grip for the grip angle. I don’t want to have to change out the sights. I don’t want to have to buy a special plate to mount a red dot either. A better trigger is something that may be difficult enough for me to need a gunsmith.

There’s too much work on a mediocre (even if it’s reliable) pistol when I can have the.same reliability from a CZ, S&W, or Canick out of the box

Extended slide releases on my Glocks made a big difference larping ime. It also gives them something in common with EVERY OTHER PISTOL I own. Glocks kill me with their cheap out areas.
