Many voters/1st time gun owners will gladly hand in those firearms if they can successfully (rather legitimately) remove President Trump. It’s quite a feat when an elevated class of people can convince those under them to surrender their rights. We need a paradigm shift- politicians believe we are their servants but it should be the opposite. Only Mr. O’Rourke had the testicular fortitude to admit to confiscation, while Harris keeps talking about mandatory buybacks & weapons of war that don’t belong on the street!?

I’ve never seen a ‘weapon of war’ or ‘assault rifle’ on the street… To where is she referring??:v:t5:

Let’s just say I’m glad the magazine is still rolling off the printers. So many gun porn mags went the way of on line media, not a big fan. I like to touch it, feel it, flip through the pages, file it under the correct month, pull it out and read it again and again. Call me old school.
As far as the newsletter, IMHO, maybe a little more depth and substance, like the magazine.

Chicago, home of the “assault weapon” wars!

Indeed.

I do download books on my phone, and read scribd, where many books are available including The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire and Meditations, as well as The Rotten Heart of Europe by Bernard Connolly and I have downloaded pdf versions of books, … but the actual physical holding of a book or magazine is always a feeling that is simply not replaced.

The magazine is something to look forward to. I do miss the old USCCA monthly emails, and they had lots of reviews and even Mark from AAR.

By the way, nothing wrong with old school

I talked with a new gun owner Democrat today. Was an interesting if disturbing conversation.

They flat out told me they knew they weren’t really voting for Joe Biden, that he was just the face they were putting up to make it more palatable to get a progressive (Kamala Harris) into the White House who would probably appoint another Progressive as her VP (AOC was mentioned) and they felt they could remake the image of the entire country. That they weren’t worried about their guns being taken, because they were on the right side of the issue.

I could only look at them in bemusement.

 how does that work?

She doesn’t qualify. The President (and Vice President) must be at least 35 years old.

And people question why it is stated… Democrats… Progressives… is a mental disease.

She should not qualify regardless.

AOC, the PRIDE of Boston University, stated the Three Branches of Government are… The House, The Senate, and The President.

If you do not know the three branches of government, you really should not be holding ANY elected office.

Clearly. And, just as clearly, she didn’t learn anything in any history or economics classes she may have attended.

I think she learned economics and finance at the bar…

The three branches of finance…

You know what I think I’ve realized?
I know/hear about the occasional blue coat switching to Republican but I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a Republican switching to a blue coat.

Kinda like most people start smoking at a young age… I’ve never heard of like a 40 or 50 year old dude just saying out of the clear blue, “I think I’m going to start smoking today (I’m going to switch to socialist/communist today)”.

Mitt Romney would switch in a minute if there was an advantage for him. IMHO

YMMV

I would agree, except there are the never Trumpers who claim to be Republican and fooled many for years claiming they were Conservative who swear they are supporting Biden.

And after hearing the report last night that the Republican controlled Senate is refusing to confirm certain Trump appointees, and perhaps waiting for a Biden appointee… I wonder how many of those we call Republicans we can actually trust.

I think a liberal who purchased a firearm probably bought a handgun or shotgun, and does not believe that the Biden/Harris camp will effect their ownership.

It doesn’t matter who they say they’re voting for. What matters is who they vote for
