Why its best to know the laws

“The police confiscated the pistol even though there was no evidence that the gun was illegally owned or stolen.”

Who needs a law, just make it up as you go along, what ever it takes to “Get dangerous guns” off the streets?

   I agree, and further more, Police Officers’ guns are also dangerous guns too, therefore those guns should be taken off the streets as well! :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: :astonished: :flushed:WHO SAID THAT? :zipper_mouth_face: :flushed:    :rofl:What’s good for the Goose is good for the Gander! :grimacing: :zipper_mouth_face:Dam it, who said that!! :zipper_mouth_face: :astonished: :flushed: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Truth be told, most police officers haven’t got a clue about laws. They do in fact make it up as they go along and arrest people all the time, it gets dismissed in court and the officer doesn’t even show up.

Sometimes the officer really doesn’t know the law, but he’ll take a chance that he’s right and will arrest you anyway, knowing he will not be held to account for making illegal arrests.
Sometimes the officer is lying to you and he knows what he’s doing is bllsht, but he’s going to arrest you anyway because he knows the process is a way of punishing you. You get arrested, get booked, spend the night in the slam or have to post bond to get out, lose your job next day for not showing up, got bruises and scratching on your arms from the cop roughing you up with his torture devices, no sleep for being locked up in jail–only to hear the charges dismissed. You’re grateful for that and forget to sue the taxpayer for what this officer did to you and get on with your life while the officer walks away laughing.

Remember, the process is part of the punishment.

Why do cops do this? Because they can. That’s like asking a Black Mamba why it bites anything that moves. Because it can! Because that’s what Black Mambas do! Who’s going to stop it?! Nobody.

Cops are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get. Some are smart and kind and do not delay the stop and play games with you. But most other cops are the complete opposite.

But, if you know the laws and can argue effectively, or just keep your mouth shut and invoke your 5th & 6th Amendments, which you should, the cop will realize you are not to be toyed with and will try to get away from you ASAP.

Cops are predators. What do predators do? They are looking for easy marks, easy tickets, easy arrests, dumbasses who know nothing about their rights, the laws and the cops themselves.

A cop’s real job is to protect the rich and powerful, other cops, county commissioners, judges, etc. You? You’re just a revenue generator for the State. You are literally nothing and do not matter.

So don’t self snitch! Stop incriminating yourself!

All police officers, no exceptions, are liars. Police officers can literally legally lie to you, mislead you about anything they want anytime they want with impunity. However he cannot lie to the court, but they often do and get away with it and they also get caught and brought up on perjury. Cops lie just as bad and worse than any convict.

You must know these things like the back of your hand:

ALWAYS record the cops. Period. No exceptions. It is your right to do so and the cop can’t stop you and if he says he can–he’ s lying or he simply doesn’t know the law.

“I invoke my 5th Amendment Right to remain silent.” And do keep your mouth shut!

“Officer, I know you’re just trying to do your job and all, but I respectfully decline consent to search my vehicle.”. And do not allow him to search you nor your vehicle for any reason. If he starts to search anyway, yell that he is to stop the search immediately! Be sure to get that recorded. If he plays games with you and you accidentally give him permission to search your car, you may legally revoke consent. Just tell him, "I REVOKE CONSENT TO SEARCH MY CAR! STOP THE SEARCH IMMEDIATELY! He must stop the search.

The more you know, the better off you’ll be.

So you’re asking if I am or was a police officer?

If that’s what you’re asking, the answer is, no. Never.

Though I did work with police on a daily basis for near two decades while in the Gaming business in Las Vegas, NV.

I watch cops and court cases. That’s all I’ve done.

No, not asking.

Your post about policeman is what I asked @Johnnyq60 about, if he did everything that you posted about policeman. Since he is a retired policeman.
