Why do You Vote Democrat?

The founding fathers, wete actually very adamant about pushing the USA ahead technology wise.

If you read this article, you will see that our forefathers were looking far into the future. They took a look at the British patent system they then modified, and improved, and released what we now know, The United States Patent Office. Then wrote patents into The Constitution and unleashed 2+ Centuries of American Exceptionalism .

They did this by changing the fees for a patent, and stripped away the rule that they had to be actually manufacturing from the idea behind the patent. So now Intellectual Property was an actual thing.

Actually, there is. It’s quite a good article. Plus it’s been published as an Academic atudy. Which means it’s been rigorously reviewed by other Academics.

Yesterday’s info release by Elon Musk was very telling. Of all the DNC people, only Ro Khanna thought 1A suppression may create a problem.

So, strike down both 1A and 2A, what other policies remain, worthy of electing Dems? If it is something to do with money… remeber, when Dems invite you to dinner, YOU are the meal.

I am a moderate libertarian*. I voted democrat.

The government should stay out of our business.

They have no business restricting my right to bear arms.

They also have no business telling people who to marry.

They also have no business telling a woman what to do with her uterus.

They have no business reducing my right to privacy.

Morally, engaging in voter suppression automatically disqualifies someone from getting my vote.

The democrats checked one box. The republicans checked all the others, as well and hopping into bed with antisemites and pro-fascist DTs.

*Libertarian: Actual libertarian, not this weird, corporatist neamestealing movement that sprung up more recently.

Just to be clear…you quoted where I asked for data indicating that not requiring training made people less safe and you said yes that data is out there…does this article indicate that required training reducing accidence/negligence/etc?

I wasn’t exactly asking about gun ownership rates (inferred by sales rates) or about crime rates, although that’s still good to see in such an official format.

As a Libertarian, you believe one of the major parties is staying out of your business?

Ignore the right to bear arms and you can kiss all your other concerns goodbye.

History has repeated itself many times.

Ironically, the Democratic politicians are doing just what you do not want in that regard, as well as issuing EOs and passing laws restricting many of our other inalienable rights.

Democrats have definitely been doing that - ever since they were a political party. Recall Jim Crow? I won’t bother mentioning 2000 mules… I am sure that is just “disinformation” to you.

If I thought so, I’d be the first to go.

Curious how you feel about the bombshell news that Elon Musk released last night about our government working with twitter (Prior to Elon’s ownership) to hide the Hunter Biden laptop story, to keep information about Biden receiving money from foreign governments from reaching voters. What I find telling, (and PROOF that the mainstream media is complicit in a massive coverup) is that last night’s news is completely suppressed by all mainstream media outlets except one. Fox News DOES mention it, but only equates it as more bickering between parties, calling it a “Shame campaign”. My take is the MSM are enemies of the State all, and the election was rigged and stolen.

I apologize, my thoughts were that you could infer from the data that all of the Hysteria about these millions of new gun owners was unfounded. If you remember, when gun purchases climbed so drastically, that these millions of first time gun owners were going to power an increase in accidental injuries and crime. My guess is that hundreds of thousands of these new gun owners were completely brand new.

My personal experience over the past 2 years, from operating as a volunteer range safety officer, was that the majority of new gun owners were coming to us completely untrained.

Alabama has no requirements for CC, other than Federal requirements to own a gun, it’s literally a 15-30 minutes process while they do a background check. You can even apply over the internet, as long as you have the proper documents. So that may color my opinions on why I thought that study would be useful.

I agree, my inferences and all data I can find do in fact support that “more guns = more safety” and “more guns = less crime” and that “more government required training =/= more safety”.

I am waiting to see if the poster suggesting government required training makes the community safer has any references that indicate this is how it actually plays out

Do you know something, that other Libertarians don’t? I’m a conservative Libertarian.

  1. I believe in less Governmental involvement in day to day life.

  2. Fiscal responsibility.

  3. Less interference in elections by artificially increasing eligible voters (see Colorado voting, where no I’d or residence requirement other than a verbal acknowledgement of your intent to move there, also see Arizona where thousands of ballots were discarded into ravines)

  4. I believe in less Federal Governance and that States, should in the most part, be the arbiter in day to day governance.

  5. I am a Constitutional absolutist.

I vote for the party that is the least damaging to my beliefs and that is definitely NOT the Democratic Party. I’ve been a Libertarian for 40 years, and the last Libertarian candidate that had an even remote chance of being elected for POTUS was Ross Perot (until he went bat sh#$ crazy, a few months before the election).

How can you even say Democrats don’t interfere with our body and our right to make decisions for it. Have we already forgotten COVID and the utter destruction it did to our Country? The decisions that were made by a Democratic super majority were so bad that there is a huge effort being made to decree COVID Amnesty.

When you got to voter suppression… you lost me… the dems are the ones engaged in voter suppression and tax funded vote buying and other forms of voter fraud. The dems want to FORCE me to pay for your uterus decisions. BTW-- its not the mother’s body-- it is a separate living human with its own body.

Some of your comments show you are misinformed–at best.

Another WOW! (shaking my head)

I presume that you would have the same idea concerning voting right as well?

Well it was the Trump Administration that asked for take downs while in power.

As for Biden, he was completely out of government when asking for the take downs. Powerful but a private citizen.

1St Amendment applies to the Governmental censorship only.

The democrats of the Deep South before 1968 are the Republicans of today.

Unless you think all of the blacks who vote for the Democrats are “self hating negro’s”

What did Trump admin take down? Was it something like calls for violence against the police?

Reading Talbi piece he was clear that Trump asked for item to be taken down, the content is irrelevant. Trump was in power, that act was an ask for Twitter to remove posts at the request of the government.

That is a simple standard for violation of the first amendment.
