Why do You Vote Democrat?

What tends to annoy me is that people forget that the President is not the person who currently inhabits that role. Its a role that is extended to the person and as such when person become the president, different rules apply. Trump seems to never understood this. It’s why he thought that taking to Mara Lago classified documents was ok, that using the pulpit to ask for posts taken down on twitter is ok. I could go on.

Can you elaborate on your question? What same idea concerning voting?

Irrelevant for whom? Calls for violence may be illegal, did you know? Unless you regard some violence against officials or private citizens legitimate.

You stated reasonably that 2nd amendment could be extended to felons, I am wondering if you find the same logic useful for extending voting rights to them as well.

Oooh, please do, that’s why all charges have been dropped from the Mar-A-Lago fiasco.
All B.S. to began with.

A twitter post hardly counts as an immediate danger, so asking it to be removed seems a clear cut 1St Amendment violation if asked from by any administration.

There were no charges filed, Friday’s 11 circuit smack down of Judge Cannon’s finding, was to give access to Main Justice to the files found in the search.

Charges are yet to come.

More harassment you mean. Why are you all so afraid of Prez. Trump?

I think Trump was a good maybe even a great President. But his personality and tone deaf approach to person to person interactions were what alienated so many.

I definitely approve of his “America First” stance.

Other he is a grifter who has an inordinate amount of power in one of the major parties and has an authoritarian streak where just today he called for a suspension of the Constitution to “fix” the harm of his losing 2020 on Truth Central.

This simply is sedition…

The truth hurts, Don’t it! His comment was rhetorical. He said {do you} not {I want}

The reality of a budget is that it is a guide with max monies to be spent. The new Republican House of Representatives (that’s us they represent because we voted them in to do that) don’t have to spend it.

Sure, noone ever gone to prison for making a threat over a telecommunication device.

So when trump says, “… allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution”

Its either my virtue signaling, Hallucinating, or a loss of humor when I see such words as seditious?

All I can say to you then is “Bless your heart…”

If Gavin Newson said such a thing, you would call it rhetorical, I can safely assume.

Of course people have, but we aren’t talking about that, we are talking that is it permissible for the government to ask for a private company to censor a post when the threat is nieither direct or imminent?

Me being a good liberal and past-ACLU member, always thought that the proper answer is no.

And please do not go on how the ACLU has changed, it has, I withdrew my membership when they got squishy on 1st admendment.

No my friend, you are trying to redirect the conversation. You said content of the message, the government asks to remove, does not matter. This is not a liberal, nor libertarian view.
You dont know the content of the message Trump’s admin asked to censor, do you? Unless you tell me what the message was exactly, it is plausible it was a terroristic threat, or something detrimental to national security.

I can, however, tell you exactly what the message was that Biden admin asked to censor. I dont need to, the whole world knows by now. If this were suppression of legitimate journalism, it would have been bad enough. Timing before election makes it something else though.

My main point is that those things shouldn’t even be illegal at all to begin with, let alone a felony.

But yes, I see no reason whatsoever that anybody can support “perpetrators” of the things I listed (and many other felonies) being denied their Right to keep and bear arms, or denied their Right to vote, or put in prison for a year, or any other penalty or punishment whatsoever

A budget is managing money you actually have, but that’s beside the point. Why give control of ANY money to Nancy Pelosi before Republicans take over in January, does THAT seem like something a responsible Republican leader does for a constituent base he is supposed to represent, and that despises every move Pelosi has made in the last two years? I think NOT.
