Where do you carry?

You didn’t factor lefties into your poll. 9 o’clock for most applications. It’s the fastest draw for me. Years ago I used to cross draw but ultimately came to the conclusion that a straight draw from my side was better/faster. Also, while most right hand shooters will ultimately ‘print’ around 3 o’clock unless they are very good, many do not look at the 9 o’clock position on people–they don’t expect a firearm over on that side.

I prefer 3 o’clock OWB, but only do in the winter since my clothing choices work with it.

I train every week and carry every day. Carry owb, with a good holster.

In SWFL, we do a lot of pocket carry with sub-compacts. So I carry in my front pants pocket, rear pants pocket, cross-draw vest pocket (motorcycle), 3 o-clock OWB, and 4 o-clock OWB…depending on how I’m dressed and what I’m doing. And I’m quite frequently carrying 2 of the above at the same time. Bodyguard in the pocket in a DeSantis holster and Shield or 1911A1 on an OWB on the belt (Crossbread Drop-slide or DeSantis Thumb Break leather).

3-3:30- iwb Cz PCR CGW, yes always practice at range.
If I am doing an all day trading class or multiple day class I will change up the holster back and forth to iwb and owb same position. Only because I like to cover all bases, especially 'cause during colder months I will go to owb. I try to be proficient in both carry modes.

For me it’s the 5 position. Unless I’m in the vehicle, then it’s in between my seat and center. I have practice drawing from beside my seat, I’m pretty fast. Drawing from the 5 position I need more practice.

i selected based on Body location, but in regards to travel location, I carry EVERYWHERE.

Right now I’m carrying appendix and I’m also carrying anywhere and any place I can.

That and in the clothes I normally wear. I do not have a “range wardrobe” and a “street wardrobe”.

I carry off body I use my Tommygunpack because it is really versatile, i can wear it normally belt around the waist with carrier in front very easy to learn the draw, or I can carry under my arm with the belt around to the opposite shoulder which works really well when nature calls no way leaving the gun in the bathroom and also that way works really well when both arm and hands and climbing, when it’s in front it can drag on things. I’ve been training with this for over 30 years and still going strong.
