Here, here Markin!! I struggled not to be offended by the question!
I don’t own any “cheap” guns…however I do have a couple that were fairly inexpensive to purchase…including a used Marlin .22 Rifle that I purchased auction style from a Boy Scout camp and won with a bid of $60 (and it’s a great rifle!)
Jarold, I recently purchased a G2C as my second gun. My experience mirrors yours … great gun, reliable, easy to shoot. Totally satisfied with it, have begun carrying it as well.
My G2 is now in a somewhat retirement. I won the complete carry package from the USCCA and picked up a S&W M&P 2.0 compact in 9mm. Been very impressed with it. My G2 is now the home defense gun. I still carry it every now and then. Can’t bare parting with it. Here is the new addition to the family.
9mm Norinco modeled after the Tokarev purchased new in the 90’s. It kicks like a 40, even though it’s a heavy, steel, singlestack 9mm with a thick grip. The slide (exterior) started rusting easily, and when I tried taking off the grip for cleaning and such, I broke off the part that keeps it on the frame.
One of these days I might actually try working on it. I think it has potential, but not worth professional services cost. It was inexpensive when bought (maybe around $150 new?), and has a nice slim profile. I would not recommend it.
Interesting side note, the magazine has a spacer in it, as it looks like it was designed around a longer cartridge.
The second least expensive I have is an old Webley in Mark IV 38 S&W (.38/200) I love (bought used). Shoots lighter than a 380. Really heavy trigger, though.
Interesting side note, it has a slide safety next to the hammer. This might suggest that it might have been used by the Singaporean police (Wiki) in the early to mid 1900’s. There is a “BMP” with a crown over it stamped into the cylinder (6 times) and on the barrel. Anyone know what the “BMP” stands for? I would be interested to know.
I bought a single shot shotgun for $40 back in the late 90’s. Some goofy Russian brand. The stock was cracked and had a weird scratch. Next, I think the Mossburg 500 shotgun or Marlin Model 60. I guess every gun I bought in the 90’s was under $200…Once I “came of age”, things got expensive.
Don’t know if it’s cheap but I got a free old S&W .357 Tinnitus model from my dear old Pa’. Doesn’t matter how much hearing protection you have it will still leave your ears ringing.
The KelTec PMR30. It was given to me (new) by a good friend. That same friend gave me for Christmas a new CZ75 Tactical Sport Orange in 9mm which is NOT a cheap gun.
