Depends on what I’m doing any particular day. It’s either a Glock 17 9mm or PSA 1911 45 acp either in a shoulder holster tactical holster or in a quick draw belt holster. Oh yeah a Glock 44 in my ankle holster.

Yeah… Staccato is a great handgun, but my last requirement was 3.25" barrel… and it doesn’t exist for this product.
I was thinking about BUL Armory SASII… but it was out of stock…
So SFX was a choice…and I never regretted it.

But … It’s not about the money. If my efficiency requires $3K… I go for it.
My Insurance covers evidence confiscation up to $4K, so I don’t care about gun’s costs…

Oh sure will, brag it up about gaining a dad bod. Im in my mid 50’s and pretty much gave up on gaining weight.
As for capacity, id like more in a 9mm but i used to carry a 1911, not exactly know for high cap.
My G43, really likes the critical defense ammo so that helps

The paddle mag release HK are the best mag release on the market. That’s one of my favorite aspects to the VP9. I do love my VP9. And the paddle mag releases are part of it.

I was no more than 185 lbs until I took my current job driving semi about 12 years ago,… been a slow curve, but I’m up to 225-230 now in my late 40s.
I just know It’s because I love beer and delicious slow smoked meats…

My problem is purchasing it in the first place. I’d have to win the daily giveaway 3 or 4 times in a row to afford one of those;)
Plus I’m still not able to outshot my $600 pistols yet. When I get to the point when I feel it’s the gun and not my skills holding me back then I will look into advancing to a higher tier. I still have some catching up to do with some of you all on the skills front.

Yes, to a certain extent, especially with guns (I won’t say firearms because this applies to airguns too) You do get what you pay for.
My $1200 sig 1911 is far superior to my $700 Colt 1991 (clone off of the original patent)
That said, I’m not willing to risk throwing my $1200 sig 1911 away in a self defense scenario, when I will likely be just about as accurate with my $400 sig365X!

Kimber EVO SP - 9mm. The main reason I EDC this one is because it’s very easy to conceal. Reasonably light and a small frame.

IMO cost/value of a self defense gun is meaningless, within the context of, “would I carry it and risk losing it”
We’re talking about a lethal force situation where literal lives are on the line.
Pick the very best gun you have for the purpose, because there is no purpose more important than whatever happened that caused you to deploy a firearm in self defense.
I sometimes think people’s priorities are out of alignment and they don’t properly understand the seriousness of firearms for self defense if they are worried about losing their gun that is too $ valuable, and also that they don’t understand the financial burden one may endure following an incident…'cause the value of the gun will probably be the least of your concerns.
If a $2k pistol was IMO better than my Glock for carry, I would carry the $2k pistol and if I had to draw or use it, and the results were such that I was worried about the $1,400 increased replacement cost of the gun vs a $600 gun, that’s a WIN. Like seriously shiz got so serious I drew my gun and I’m worried about a paycheck or less? Hell yeah couldn’t hope for a better result
Also as a USCCA member for a covered act of self defense that $2k pistol could end up being reimbursed (replacement cost) by the self defense liability insurance policy anyway

For me I would be more concerned about all the times I am forced to leave my pistol locked in a case in the car or at home because of restricted areas or restricted states. I would have no problem risking the loss of an expensive tool because I needed to use it to save a life. But I know I can afford to replace what I am currently carrying if someone broke into the quick access safe in my home or car or and stole it. With a really expensive tool I might have to put in a lot of extra hours on the job to replace it.

It’s super easy to have any firearm within $2K-$3K price range. Everything is about positive thinking.
- If I smoke, I’d spend about $2,900 per year
- if I drink coffee at Starbucks, I’d spend about $1,300 per year
- if I eat at fast foods, I’d spend about $5,200 per year
I’m not doing any of these anymore… so actually I’m saving about $9,400 per year… which is enough for 3 Wilson Combat or Staccato handguns each year.

The only really expensive habit I have left is buying ammo for my firearms. Don’t want to buy an expensive firearm and have it turn into a safe queen because I can’t afford to take it out to the range:(
I understand… but we are not talking about keeping money in safe, but carrying it.

I personally dont care what a gun costs. I just ask myself if I trust it and it shoots good. If yes to both, then ill carry it…if it fits for concealed.

I love my VP9, especially the Euro-style mag release on the trigger guard. I find myself reaching for the VP9 release with other guns only to be disappointed.

I guess its what is more comfy to carry and use if need be. I carry a Glock 24 I like the reduced size / weight. previous was a Ruger still comfy but not more concealable. My wife carries a Smith & Wesson 9mm Ezee

But I do like Champagne. It’s like ammo…use it and it’s gone. Also like ammo, I like to have more than I need on hand.

I’m a Cognac guy… so Champagne works for me as well.
Definitely I shoot more ammo than drink any of good stuff.
