great code name, Gary,!!! Also use what we call “gut instincts”…every has them, pay attention to them. I remember a hunter’s education instructor saying about hunting….“if you don’t feel right about taking the shot, don’t take it.”

I habitually do not name inanimate objects, so…none of my guns have names. I have my Walther, my AR, and my .45, and that’s the best I have.
I also am terrible at naming things.

Back in the days of Palm Pilots, (precursor to cell phones), they were called PDA’s, an abbreviation meaning Personal Digital Assistant. I just carried that on to my ccw. It is now my Personal Defense Assistant. I carry my PDA almost daily. In most cases it answers the question and most don’t ask what it means, since they don’t want to appear dumb. I hope I never have to use it.

I have no names for most of my guns, but my S&W .44 Magnum with 8” barrel is obviously called “Clint”; my Ruger 357 Speed Six is called “Speedy”.

Thinking about it I think I am a bit like George Forman. He named all his boys George. All my weapons are named “The”. Either by caliber, type, or Manufacturer.

I never named any of my guns, but, one weapon does have a name. She’s lots of fun to watch when she’s aimed at "stupid ". She goes off quite reliably too! … & Yes, I married her.
Edit: It would seem I was wrong. Apparently I have named a gun, I’m told I’ve introduced one particular gun several times as being “Alotta Fun”.

I fail miserably in this category. Mine are named, the 226, the 229, the 365, the AR or the rifle, and the Shotgun. My wife names everything. I can’t keep up with them all, but her 365 is “Siggy”
